Does Memphis have any stake in their final home game vs. Utah?

+1 they have locked up the 5th seed but they can have the hca against the 4th seed clippers.

My question though is what would happen if the clips and griz finish the season with the same record- who gets hca? I guess the clips since they are division champs?

Clips own the season series 3-1, so they get homecourt if the records are the same.

So what do the grizz have to play for??? Shouldn't they just rest their guys?

Clippers still have to win out to clinch homecourt.... knowing this Clippers team though, they'll blow it either tonight or tomorrow, tbh....

Thought it was obvious memphis wants hca especially since they lost last year and season series ..

so basically...

clippers win = memphis rest starters/utah wins = do or die for the lakers against houston

That snide remark just vacated your FF title. Congrats to Harlem for winning it all.

No, because the Clippers have to win their last two games to clinch homecourt, and the second game is on the same night as Grizz/Jazz and starts during the Grizz/Jazz game.... the Grizzlies probably aren't going to rest their starters against the Jazz under any circumstances unless for some odd reason they want to give up on the race for homecourt....

Is there any way the Lakers move up to the 7th seed ?

Grizz/Jazz and Rockets/Lakers should be entertaining games, given that all the teams involved have a lot to play for.

Yes, they just have to win. The only way the Lakers get 8th is if they lose and the Jazz lose too.

Considering the Grizzlies were resting in yesterday's game against the Mavs, I wouldn't count on them going full throttle vs the Jazz. In the Mavs game, which was contested the whole way (pretty much no big leads at all), Z-Bo and Conley both played under 20 minutes and Marc played about 25. I don't see them ramping up those minutes during the season finale
