I know your name is Canispur, but you must very high to think that McGrady's first round exits will have anything to do with the Spurs first round play off series.
1st off, always high.
2nd, just wondering if he ever made it out. If we're in position to lean heavily on TMac, Im gonna need more weed sooner than anticipated.

'Nique at 37 was still good when he signed with the Spurs (something like 18.2/6.4 from the bench), the problem was DRob and Elliott were out most of the season.
Malone arrived too late to be productive, all time great otherwise.
Both had better careers then T-Mac, tbh.

T-mac signed 1-year 1-million dollar contract in 2012 with China Qingdao Bball team. The team finaly ranked the last one among 17 teams and even got a 12 straight loss which is the national records. T-mac played 29 games in China, 33 mts, 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists per games. To know more about this performance, you may want to compared with another ex-Spurs Ike Diogu, who barely got chance in Spurs。 In 2012, Ike Diogu was partnering with Yi Jianlian and winning most the games in China. He averaged 20 points/10 boards.

It looks like to me that TMac is teaching Leonard different ways to set up his jumper. I think that maybe he could have been brought in to help Leonard develop his offensive game.
I've been thinking this exact same thing. Tmac can probably teach Kawhi a lot more than Jack ever could have on offense. He could really help Kawhi develop his game on the offensive side of the ball. I like Tmacs versatility, and hopefully he does well, that way he can teach Kawhi more of his game if he can stay with the team.

Thanks. That looks like a Diaw-Parker play where the former is the first option. Great. I'll be seeing that soon in the playoffs.

He was a legit superstar in this league. He was like a Durant or a Carmelo. He was tops in the league in scoring... He couldn't physically do it anymore because his body wouldn't let him.. but who better to show Kawhi Leonard how to be an alpha-dog than T-Mac?

You sound hella stupid. If we would have brought in TMAC in earlier in the beginning of the season, he would have contributed instead of when PO started. TMAC and stephen jackson would have contributed hugely. It would have been our 5th championship, like the trophy is handed to us with the way last season played out(ref. injuries to other teams).
TMAC was = Championship
Stephen Jackson = Championship
TMAC + Stephen Jackson = Championship (Heat gave up)

Had good passing skills. Did just fine to my eye. Plenty of assists and a few steals.

Pop never played him enough, put him in with like 2 or 3 mins left in the game, garbage time mins. With his shot he never got comfortable as a Spur imo. Needed more playing time with the system they were running under Pop. I was hoping he would score a point. Anyone have a stat of how many mins Tmac played as a Spur?
He should have signed sooner in 2013 to get more playing time and experience with Spurs roster and system. Not Tmac's fault, just didn't play enough it was weird.

I still like the signing.
Not TMac's fault that Gregg threw it all away.

He was always going to be a contingency plan / lightning in a bottle type of guy for that season.
IIRC he was still trying to fully get back into game shape is part of it.'
On another team, he might've been given more opportunity. But he went into with the understanding he was ring chasing.

He never looked ready to contribute, but yeah, Pop basically kept him glued to the bench.
I don't really understand the mentality of the aging former superstar who's willing to just sit on the bench in order to ring. Maybe there's a feeling that when they're looked up in the history books it will include a championship on the resume, and after so many years folks will forget they did nothing to earn it.
It just seems odd to me. As a competitor I don't think that's the way I'd want to get it. If I didn't actually contribute to achieving that accomplishment it would feel somewhat hollow and bittersweet I would think.

T-Mac was cursed. Never made to the 2nd round during his prime. And then he finishes his career, being 28 seconds away from a ring only for it to slip out of his hands and be part of one of the worst losses in Spurs history.
