What kind of rating will Manu, Timmy and the rest of the gang get? I know in 2005's game, Manu was a 3pt shooter that could lock someone down with his D. I think (but not sure) his overall rating was a 75, while Timmy's was a 94 or something like that. What are your thoughts?

Manu will have at least an 85 and up rating and Timmy will be a 97

Tim's Clutch rating will go through the roof, but his Injury rating will plummet. Broken ankles left and right.

Manu will fall down all the time, and Cyber George Karl will go nuts.

:lmao Apparently when playing as Denver you know have the option of the Karl mater. It build up as you lose causing him to:

A: Get a tech

B: Get Fined

C: Cry

All of which affect chemisty and in away games the home crowd will actually laugh at him. Technology these days :)

Things I would love to see in Nba live 2006:

- Manu flops
- A digitized version of Eva
- Amare doing pushups after a dunk
- whenever Tmac dunks on Bradley, he rides him like a horse
- Detroit coming out w/their championship belts :lol

options i would love to see
1. An option where you can rush the stands when using the Indiana Pacers
2. Manu Flops
3. Will Smith pregame performances
4. Commenting done by Hubie Brown, where he will forget most of the players names, then mumble off about something that has nothing to do with the game.
5. Dirk Nowitski yelling at Jason Terry everytime Nash scores on him

Cyber Stephen A. Smith. No matter how far you turn the volume down he's still making your ear drums bleed.

I think in the next live, Manu will be an 80...after all, they ranked AI an 86.

I hope there's random bomb threats everytime you visit The Palace of Auburn Hills.... that, and Scottie Pippen jumping in every once in a while to tell how the Bobcats or Warriors are going to win the title.

I hope they have Manu being more emotional cause he can get this way like in game 7 when he was pumping up the crowd after a score. I would like to see players argue calls and get Techs, but I don't see this happening. By the way, does anyone notice that on 2005, Beno dunks?

that must be the biggest mistake in a computer game ever, Rasho dunking the ball. I hope this year his spot is on the IR, with Patella tendonitis.

You know, if Beno can "dunk", then on 2006 they should have Tony Parker throw down a slam once in a great while. Just a thought. :lol

Some nba live games are really bad because they can only guess how good the incoming rookies are going to be. I think Lebron had a rating of 67 in 04. Beno dunking in 05. :lol wtf?

They can at least get spurs' ratings right:

manu 90 :smokin
Tim 95
TP 78
Bowen 69
Mohammed 68

Also I do not want Hubie Brown in any way associated with the game. Everytime the spurs score he would OH WOW! OH WOW! as if every shot is a miracle and when a spurs' opponent scores jump for joy while almost having a heart attack.

NBA 2k5 is more accurate. However, didn't they lose their rights to use NBA player's names anymore?

im excited to play nba live 2k6!

i wonder on a couple of things though...

will barry lose the "3 point shooter" icon?

ginobili most probably will get his own "3pt icon"

how about bowen and horry?

bowen lost his 3 point icon in 05. he used to have it in 04.

dunno what will happen to parker though

lordswing
07-08-2005, 04:07 PM
Bowen lost the 3 pt icon in 05, but he was still a helluva good 3pt shooter. You just have to get used to certain players. Like Brent Barry, I could never get used to him 'cause I play 3 min. quarters with my friends so we can switch teams, etc. I could never shoot with him, 'causing me many miseries when I brought him in in the 4th quarter to push my lead even more.

I think they should be rated...

Manu 82
Duncan 91
Bowen 76
Parker 79
Nazi 73

KG 90
Shaq 90
LeBron 91
Kobe 86

Well, he was a white guy coming into the league. They shouldn't commit the same mistake w/Scola.

I don't think Manu will have a 3pt shooting icon, even though his % is high, the NBA is too retarded.

I hate when they make big guys not able to dribble, they suck at rating. You know how if a big guy tries to do a spin move or a cross-over, he automatically turns the ball over? Well that's how they ranked Andre Iguodala, he can't even do a cross-over in that shitty game.

When?

TDfan2007

Tim Duncan - 86

Manu Ginobili - 81

Tony Parker - 77

NBA Live makes Tim god-awful in all aspects but inside scoring rebounding and blocking. He can't even attempt a crossover or he'll turn it over and he can't hit any open shot outside of 8 feet, let alone a contested one.

Manu was really good in 2005 except for 3's from the left wing. Tony couldn't shoot in 2005 and usually could only score on a fast break layup.

I would love for Live 2006 to make shot blocking more difficult and actually have fouls called when a player drives to the basket.

ESPN 2K5 was much better than Live 2005.

Amen.

When you are driving past the shot blocker and you are in front of him, you can't even attempt a shot without getting blocked.

They need to fix the fucking rebounding too. It's so hard to get an offensive rebound in that game. When I get in goo position for an offensive board with let's say Duncan, I jump up, perfect timing, but Earl Boykins someone comes down with it automatically cus he's on D.

I hate that aspect. I always edit the players because the makers suck at giving ratings. I stick with '04 because 05' sucks really bad. They didn't even edit the individual ratings like shooting, ft's, dunking, etc., just the overall ratings. Seemed like they got a little lazy.

LIVE 05 had some of the worst rating of all time

they initially gave Duncan an 88 or 89 overall rating
I guess they aren't a spurs fan. I would've given him a 92 rating but oh well.

I'd give Timmy a 91.
Manu - 84
Bowen - 75
Nazr - 72
Parker - 78

I tend to lean a little low on my ratings, though. While I think Manu could be a top tier 2-guard, he isn't there yet. Where's his mid-range game? That could make him really deadly.

What shitty graphics.

Whats changed from last year? Realistic audience? Um, its 6 people reproduced over and over, look at the dude in the blue hawaiin shirt... over. and over. theyre like milliontruplits.???

Until these game makers get a clue, nba live will keep ruining its reputation. It's over-detailed jerseys and audience... and the game glitches when you make a play every single time... its not worth 50 bucks. Not even worth half that much.

2k6 isnt even looking better. My thoughts on this years crop of nba games has went sour already.

Just went to the live website and saw some pics. Poor Nazi, they sure have him being dunked on a lot. While visiting the overall EA website, I noticed that they are coming out with an Arean Football game to be released in Feb. 2006. That's pretty sweet!!
