I know that Leonard is a budding star in this league. Do any of you think that this signing has had something to do with the fact that having a veteran all-star scoring champ could help Leonard on the weaker side of his game? I have this crazy notion that Leonard will learn an awful lot from McGrady on the offense. Thoughts???

Yes. The only thing he can do is benefit from this. This point in his career, Leonard is a sponge.

Duncan looked at T-Mac's wardrobe and gave him the nod.

Hopefully Kawhi can make the leap in his game TMac did when he went to the Magic.

FWIW, by all accounts Kawhi has a better work ethic than McGrady every did tbh. McGrady is a once in a generational athlete allowing him to dominate with a marginal mental effort.

Kawhi will never be the natural athlete/scorer/playmaker that McGrady was but he's already made huge strides from where he was on draft day tbh.

TMac doesn't seem like the mentor type.

I think that's what Van Gundy has said about McGrady. It came to easy for him. If McGrady had the work ethic he could be legendary. The same can be said for a guy like Vince Carter.

Is it just me or does Kawhi sound a lot like T-Mac when he talks? They could be brothers, IMO.

TMac = underachiever
He should be learning from Leonard, not the other way around.
