If I had to pick my favorite SNES games, in no specific order they would be

1. Final Fanstasy II/IV (originally released as II in the USA, but I think it was later retitled IV since it was the fourth FF (2nd and 3rd were only released in Japan)) - Incredible graphics for the time, great storyline, and of course long gameplay hours
2. Chrono Trigger - Favorite RPG ever. Awesome storyline.
3. Actraiser - Alternated between awesome side-scoller Caslevania style game and a fun god-mode builder.
4. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - My second favorite Zelda game; great soundtrack, amazing storyline, and possibly the best overhead adventure game ever. A completely flawless game.
4. Super Mario World - My favorite Mario game ever. It's a huge game with top-notch sound and music (the SNES murdered Genesis on it's sound effect and music quality). Yoshi was a great addition to the Mario family and the level design is amazing in this one.
5. Super Mario World 2 - Love the art style in this game centered around Yoshi.
6. F-Zero - A launch title racing game with the best music I have ever heard in a game. It really controls well and the courses are awesome. Tremendous replay value.
7. Uniracers - Really fun and very fast racing game (though you're racing unicycles instead of cars).
8. Donkey Kong Country - No one could believe the graphics when it came out. Really good control and lots of fun.
9. Super Mario RPG - SNES absolutely killed on RPGs, and this was was surpriseingly awesome. I liked how they threw in a feautre where you could make your attack stronger if you timed it right.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some amazing games, but these are the first ones to come to mind when I think of the SNES

Wasn't a huge fan since they made the graphics look too smoothed. I don't know: I like the dirty pixellated SMB1 much better on NES.

-Castlevania 4
The game features scrolling action with platform jumping and combat. Tends to go around ebay for 35-50 dollars on ebay.

I liked SF2 Turbo better, even though it didn't have as many characters. Not sure if that was ever released on SNES though (I played it a lot at arcades).

Speaking of fighting games, Mortal Kombat II was incredible on SNES. It was one of the best ports from an arcade that I have ever seen.

talkin about sf2 turbo, did you guys ever played sf2 blackbelt in the arcades? jumping in the air doing 2 fire balls simultaneously and staying up there stutter jumping, fkn filled the whole screen with fire balls...

never learnt how to play zanglief, but that guy was hacked if u know how to use him properly, he only needed 3 moves and if you pull it off correctly each time, your winning most matches...grapple and piledriver :(

Yeah, can't beat the $40... there's just a handful of games that won't work because of coprocessors (like Super Mario Kart, Pilot Wings, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Star Fox, and the Mega X2/X3).

But you can get those individually if you feel like it or play them on SNES9x

Based on what? Other shooters that came out after technology improved and made Goldeneye retroactively shitty? For its time, it was good and I know for a fact many people got a lot of enjoyment out of the singleplayer component of that game.

I played the fuck out of it in SP. It was amazing...And once you unlocked all the extra shit (like the golden gun) it gave it tons of replay value. Trying to beat the times was also fun.

Yup, one of the first games I truly 100%'ed. Then later found out there were cheat codes to unlock most of the stuff I worked hard at. See, child-JT did not have this ridiculous aversion to using cheat codes that adult-JT has and would have totally caved in. I just can't take myself seriously if I don't 100% a game with anything other than my own skills.

Paintballs were the shit. And I owned my stepbrother bazillions of times with proximity mines when we played MP.

I used to get $2.00 a day for lunch, I'd starve myself to save up and get N64 games..I saved up lunch money and allowance for 2 weeks to be able to purchase the abomination known as WWF Warzone, and then wrangled up some pot head deadbeat friends and we skipped school to go home and play w/ four controllers. Great times, tbh.
