Thibs is the defensive variant of D'Antoni, tbh.

Plays his starters heavy minutes just to get into the playoffs/get a high seed, then to no one's surprise his teams are too gassed to compete.

Also depends too much on a PG.

Unfair. His MVP went down in the 1st round last year. PG is the best player on the team = probably no ring (™DoK) but remember how they were with Del Negro.

^^^^^^

This pretty much. The Bulls were getting that reputation credit for their defense, when they were actually around 16th in the league on D. Noah missing a significant amount of time was huge as well. I am actually suprised Boozer is playing well...he normally pulls a Bonner as soon as the playoffs start.

True enough, but Deng and Noah are still in the top of minutes played.

Of course, part of the blame should be on the Bulls FO, for gutting their bench mob

Thibs does give certain players too much PT, but every coach has his flaws, tbh..

The Bulls front office gutted their deep bench, thus forcing a larger role for his starters, but the numbers have shown that the minutes played argument is a little overblown..

The Bulls had a great offense last year, they improved significantly on offense since Thibodeau joined the franchise..while he deserves blame for building his entire offense around 1 player, you can't blame him for his franchise player being a coward, tbh..

What I like about the Bulls is they have no real superstar (outside of thug) but they still find ways to win. Scrappy team, fun to watch.
