Devin's dad James Brown was just on Kens-5 backyard bbq, he appeared quite drunk to me :depressed This guy is really depressing to me, I hope someday he gets help... He was thanking some soldiers for fighting in "Iran"!!
He also said Devin was relaxing in Miami! :smokin

You know, he's the godfather of soul so I'd cut him a little slack if I were you.

Iran and Iraq are very similar names. Sometimes even sober people have trouble distinguishing the two. So let the man get drunk, let him have his party time.

The sad thing is, everytime you see this dude he's lit up like a fucking christmas tree!!! I've run in to him on several ocassions at the SBC center and he's VERY obnoxious....The ushers even dread seeing him come down the aisles :drunk

He's Soul Brother #1; the hardest working man in show business - and it sounds like he's been "showing his business" to the public too much.

We are good friends with Devin's dad. I think his drunkiness is an act.

He's good with kids and coaching them in all types of sports. He couldn't always be drunk doing that.

Devin's dad is a really good guy even if he does drink too much sometimes. If you are a Devin Brown fan you should visit Devin's dad's barber shop. All Devin's memorablia is there from when he first started playing ball until now .. including his retired UTSA jersey. There's a funny picture on the wall of Pop from decades ago. Devin's dad has coached in the SA youth leagues (Spurs Pizza Hut league, etc) for a long time and does a lot for kids in the community. And no, he's not drunk when he cuts hair or works with kids.

I've only seen the guy once and that was him talking on KENS after the Spurs won the Championship. So I wouldn't know if they guy drinked a lot or not.

I personally know devin and his father... When his dad used to come to the games he used to be the last one there..and the first one out. Hes a good guy, for sure... but hes not all there. I remember being in Hondo, and playing the owls, or whatever the mascot is there, and his dad overheard a announcement thats the snack bar is giving away what hot dogs they had left, James darted from one side of the gym to the other in 6 seconds flat. I love the guy though, he was always good to me... and devins sister and mother are the best.

Kori, when we went to your house that night from Legends, he was on his way into Legends drunk off his ass. He was coming from Drafthouse. Man he was fucked up.

It was quite funny. I should have gone up and said something to him.

I too, am often drunk.

Fortunately, I haven't had a news crew record it -- not to my knowledge anyway.

Glass houses.
