I think we played poorly down the stretch because of what happened last year. I think once our 1/2 seed positioning was set, we played like doodoo because we weren't focused. Last year was an abnormal end, and our focus switched to the playoffs earlier than usual. We coasted mentally, saving it up for the playoffs. Understandable. We could care less about the regular season western conference title. Seeing Mr. Ginobili tonight, wow. Mr. Duncan is incredibly healthy. Okay we're not 100%, but we get to use The Lakers to practice against to make us healthy. I'm not being overly arrogant, 95% of analysts have picked the Spurs to win this series, and after the game even Magic Johnson predicted the Spurs in 4 or 5. Okay, other teams have lost key pieces for the season - Denver started without Galinari, and The Manimal didn't play and will be hobbled a bit. I would rather face the Clippers than Denver in the second round, but oh well. Hopefully by then we'll be healthy. But I like where we are right now.

We kept the lakers with 2 all-star centers to under 80pts.

And the Spurs have the fewest points allowed of any team this postseason. :hat

First round should be a cake-walk and in the 2nd round we will be playing a team more banged up than us, regardless of who comes out of there (pretty likely to be Denver with Lee out). for that, we're lucky

You gotta be kidding. He is implying Denver will beat Golden State because Lee is hurt. What is wrong with you?

both had double double, 36 pts - 31 RB total. They didn't lose because of those two

The Lakers just don't have enough decent players.

Seriously, good win, but the chest bumping about our D is a little bit unwarranted. The Lakers literally don't have perimeter players that can score on a consistent basis. Unless they're getting 20+ points from Jamison, MWP, Blake, or Nash, this team just doesn't seem capable of scoring more than 80 points.

Pretty sure the Lakers expected them to dominate, not play just average/below average

Well, I hate to say I told you so...okay, Im lying, I can gloat now. We got a 4-game practice in, and we are probably as healthy as anybody in the west. Those last games in the regular season were brutal but I was sure we were just taking it easy mentally, saving it for the playoffs.
