He was the best defensive player in the league for just 3 seasons

Dwight Howard was doomed to have a short run. His game is based solely on his explosive athleticism. Unlike guys like Duncan and Kobe, Howard was not going to age like a fine wine. He was going to age like milk.

I'm going to go the other way and say it's just begun...in LA. Whether it leads to anything, that's another story. But Kobe is on the way out and someone has to lead the team.

If I'm a Laker fan, the prospect of Dwight Howard one day replacing Kobe as the Face of the Franchise would horrify me.

He's been the best defensive player in the NBA the past few weeks, which was expected as his health improved, but he's probably too mentally weak to lead a team to a title..I think it could change if he hooks up with Phil next year, though..

Not sure but the twilight of the Duncan era is still pretty sweet.

And he still has 2 achilles.

It's been a bad week. Barcelona also got utterly trashed in Munich. I could've killed myself...but I realized that this is just only sports

shit, this past year was brutal. first the Spurs were backdoor swept, which was the most painful Spurs loss for me, then the 49ers got embarrassed in the SB. i don't remember that night too well, i just drank my miseries away at a party, shit i still haven't posted in the NFL forum since then. As long as your teams are relevant and building momentum, that's all that matters.

I agree with you, he will resign in LA IMO no doubt! 30 mill says no. I agree with you on Bynum too, you had a bird in the hand there with him but he got hurt way too much.

It's been a nightmare season for me man, I actually called that stupid Mason and Ireland show after last years offseason when he was defending Bynum and said he would NOT make the trade for Bynum-Howard straight up. I told a ton of Laker fans Dwight is the best player aside from the big 3 aka Lebron, KD, and CP3 that you should build your team around.

I just can't believe how smart I felt when Bynum went out before the year began, and how fuckin bad everything is now. I don't even think he will resign. I THINK he will ask for the max from the Lakers and a sign in trade since only the Lakers can offer him the most (for some contractual reason I'm not too familiar with), then he will probably ask to be traded so he doesnt look like the guy that fucked over Orlando and LA.

Dwight is not leaving that extra guaranteed year on the table. It amazes me that people stilll think Dwight will walk.

We're talking about the same retard who demanded a trade to the Nets and then made it impossible by waiving his ETO.... I wouldn't put anything past him, tbh....

This is true but with another baby on the way, I'm willing to bet he stays for an extra year. Child support and alimonies are serious business :lol

When he stopped worrying about his game and became more concerned with his image, he was doomed. Thank God LeBron didn't devolve into the same type of asshat Dwight is, but he did come close.

The funniest part is that he tried to blame it on his agent, but is still with the same agent :lol

Then he claimed he did it because the Magic threatened to trade him to the Lakers if he didn't, but then he got traded to the Lakers anyway :lmao

And people think this retard wouldn't walk away from a max Bird rights contract? He's yet to have done anything right to benefit his career, why would he start now?

:lol The Fat Van Gundy calling his ass out literally within minutes of Dwight saying he didn't ask for his firing.

I'd be just fine with Mitch throwing max money at Bible Kemp tbh.
