Lakers have been very unfortunate this season with injuries tbh. I don't wish injury on anybody sans Rapists/Snitches but they've had some pretty bad luck all season. Still, they're the most fortunate franchise in NBA history and every team (except OKC) has dealt with injuries to core players throughout this year.

No excuse for the Spurs not to sweep tbh.

they had bad timing, but really you can't call a team that forces its old players to play 48 minutes a game unlucky.

I was saying during the game last night that Nash should just retire after Sunday, tbh.... So that he'll be able to walk when he's 50. No point in destroying your body further to help, like you said, a lost cause. And it's not like he has any loyalty to the Lakers or their fans to go out there and "give it one last shot"

1) Trade for a center coming off back surgery

2) trade for a 38 year old point guard with back problems: give him a 3 year contract

3) run your 1 durable star into the ground because he needs to play 48 minutes a game just to squeak into playoffs

4) bench scrubs suddenly getting hurt because they're thrown ino getting big minutes they're physically unprepared for

Even their bench guys have had injuries throughout the year and they do play that many minutes. Injuries were to be expected for that roster due to age/mileage on their core guys but the amount of injuries they've had to their entire roster constitutes as unlucky in my book.

Again, i don't feel sorry for them at all but you can't look at their injury list this season and not think they've been unfortunate.

Well, they used to, but then the guy in charge who knew what he was doing got really old, and decided out of pity to hand over the reins to his semi-retarded dismal failure of a son instead of, for example, his supremely competent daughter.

And some idiots around here say that the Lakers have the best FO in the NBA.

They will pay for their basketball reasons.

SA played some horrific basketball to close the season. Wouldn't be surprised if they lose tonight. Also, wouldn't be surprised if we blew 'em out.

This is probably the worst first round series since there's no scenario where the Lakers have a chance. If the Spurs play competent basketball, they sweep. If they continue to play average/underwhelming bball, they'll still win in five or six.

Again, if we don't blow this team out tonight, I'll be very surprised. Tony seems to be getting to 100% healthy as is Manu and for the Fakers to be down to their 3rd string trio of guards and off-guards, we HAVE to take an early and decisive advantage. Here's hoping T-Mac's dressed and ready for Hollywood!
