I know he's a hero, Achilles himself hasn't had the conquests he's had, but with his life threatening injury, will he decide to get through his 30 million dollar season without playing a single game if the Lakers don't improve in the off season?

What's the line on this?

IF he was smart at all he would take this as an opportunity to become the savvy veteran role-player we all know he could be for the next 3-4 years, get that all time scoring crown, contribute 20, 8, & 5 on a Howard-led championship team, and ride off into the sunset.

:( Can't be the superstar anymore but I'll play through the pain cause I love the game
:( So brave warrior

Kobe is obsessed with scoring more points with MJ so he'd probably come back at 40% which would hurt his team but he'd jack his 35 shots to score 18 and inch closer to Mike

Kobe don't give a fuck about winning, son. It's all about (1) stat padding and (2) cut the check, so expect to see him back early next season.

Howard can't lead any team to a fuckin championship tbh.

That's still open for debate. He's not going to dominate a game on offense but is a dominant defensive force when healthy. He needs the right mix of offensive weapons around him. He's got to have shooters.

He's too old for that shit. If he doesn't play next season, he's done. He has no choice.

Lakers should amnesty Kobe, it makes sense.
Kobe still gets his money
Lakers save money.

Every time I said this, some Laker fans says: NOOO!!!!!!
Like for some reason that will be considered treason.

Hey, I hope they DONT use the amentsy on him, pay all the taxes and watch him go crazy from twitter.

Two choices for Kobe at this point.

Go to a lottery team where he can jack up as many shots as he like (Lakers would qualify) so that he can surpass Jordan on the all-time scoring list.
Go to Miami, proclaim the Heat to be his team, and coattail yet another championship so that he can tie Jordan in ring count.

Dude is obsessed with being the next Mike, he just wasn't good enough for it.

kobe ain't no such venal wimps like the 7'6 whore tbh. if he feels he's no longer able to play this game he'll just call end to his career right away rather than linger for one or two more years only to get the 39m dollars left on his contract.
