the US is a much safer place than the international community give us credit for. the fact is that in a country with over 300,000,000 people, shit will hit the fan every now and then.

sensationalist media and the amount of attention paid to everyday US living by both national and international outlets tends to skew opinions of safety.

also, media fervor toward high profile mass shootings and bombings no doubt instills confidence in would-be killers by the promise of instant celebrity status. if they have a 'cause,' religious or not, theyll know it will be megaphoned by the media all over the world.



i think if the guy being interviewed wasn't such a derp, he could have presented a solid case for himself in this comparison of apples and oranges.
