He just played the best game I've ever seen him play. Props to chip (shooting coach)..for the job he's done with these guys..gets my vote for best "shooting coach" in the world.

IMO he's the biggest energy guy in the Spurs. His defense and hustle just takes him head above shoulders the other 2 potential backup PGs

tbh Decolo and Mills came in like bats outta hell when unleashed. I think we'll be ok on that backup PG spot

Let's not start touching ourselves yet. He looks like he can be a solid backup 1.

He is by far the best defender of the three scrub PGs, but he had a nice offensive game tonight as well.

I'm not a fan, but he's been very good in this series..I like his aggressiveness on both ends, tbh..my problem with him is that he loses aggression too often, but that hasn't been an issue in this series..if he can maintain a constant pace of aggression, he could have a promising career as a backup PG..

He's playing against horrible competition, to be fair..

Good game for him, confidence will be important going forward

his vision was really impressive too
one play specifically in transition really impressed me
he went down the lane with 2 shooters in the corner
he then turned around and faked a pass and did some hesitation move and went right to the rim and kicked it out to a shooter

He had a very nice pass to Blair, too, taking the baseline and dumping it in the lane..

He could carve a niche as a long-term backup PG if he continues to improve..

Loved CoJo's game tonight. Played good defense, hit some tough shots, and just looked like he belonged out there. That defense could be huge next series against either Golden State or Denver.

I just want him to remain aggressive and continue to play hard. He's really playing like he deserves to be the primary back-up. Happy to see the kid finally getting his confidence and playing consistently thus far. We'll need him against either Golden State (Jarrett Jack) or Denver (Andre Miller) and he physically matches up well against either, IMO.

I LOVE Cory Joseph. He's the best defender on the Spurs. He's an underrated shooter, and looks so comfortable out there running the offense. Tony Parker getting hurt and allowing Joseph to be brought up from the D-League to show what he could offer was a BLESSING in disguise. I'm so glad Pop recognized his potential and chose him as the back-up PG for the playoffs. I was crossing my fingers.

Yeah I guess I kinda forgot he was playing against dleaguers..oh well, he still looks great. Once Boris comes back I really hope it's nando or patty that takes to the second row, and not baynes....I have my doubts:-( ...and then theirs always Tmac..

He will need shift his aggressive gear to another level on the defensive end next series.

Who do you guys prefer to match up with Curry/Jack or Lawson/Miller when Parker is sitting? Neal or Cory? Serious question. It's pretty important too.

Or do you guys think Pop will continue to sit T-Mac next round in favor of the Cory/Neal/Manu on the wing off the bench?

I was the only person on the Cory Joseph bandwagon back when he was terrible during his rookie year. Once again, I am spot on.

I loved his defensive rebounding ... and when he defended Goldilocks, this dude hit nothing ... add a fadeway jumper and it looks like the Spurs have a solid back-up PG in the next years ... props to RC

Well, as Cojo's defender since day one I can happily say - I TOLD YOU TO BE PATIENT.

Some Spurs fans think that a kid that barely played college ball should be a starting material player from day 1.

He's young, athletic, and plays under control. Backup PG material and I think he starts for someone down the line.

Yeah, he was definitely playing scrubs. He's still really young, though -- why do you think his ceiling is as a backup?

He's got to be the #1 backup pointguard now and possibly the future at the position. Great hustle doesn't make mistakes and takes good shots.

ROFL. No.

I WILL say that my favorite thing about CoJo is the way he corrals rebounds. He's not a big, so boards are harder to come by, but when they fall to him, he collapses around the ball, bringing it low and into his body. Smart player.

Legit. Must say it has been great to watch his progression. With his tenacious D and the J he has (including the turn around J), i'm satisfied we have our back-up PG. No need to draft another one RC!

I am absolutely thrilled with his performance. I was always a fan, mainly because he's a Longhorn, but tbh, I honestly couldn't tell if it belonged to him or Nando, who I like as well. but ultimately Pop has been improving and preserving CoJo for the playoffs. Great move by Pop.

if you are fighting for regular minutes for an NBA team even if i didnt know how to make coffee ill learn in a minute just to show the coaches i want in ... competition brings out the best in people so now CoJo got his price hes the backup guard because everytime hes in there hes giving it his all
