2003 followed closely by 2011. Making them cry > clotheslining pgs. Either way good stuff.

Gotta be 2004.... Stern got them to the Finals, but the combination of The Rape, Detroit bullying the Lakers in the painted area, and Kirby forcing out Shaq and Phil will never be topped...

I'm gonna say every one of them was great. Laker fans make it so much more sweet to see the Lakers get eliminated.

Definitely 2011. I was working at the aac back then and the look on lakerfans were priceless. It was satisfying.

The actual sweep wasn't too impressive but I guess you have to factor in the trash talking during the offseason, the "student has become the teacher"s and the "NBA=Fucked:lol"s
It was basically the culmination of all the events since August 10th that made this so memorable.

2013 doesn't really count, tbh
Kobe getting hurt was the best thing for his legacy. He dodged major backlash. Should've been 2013.

2011 or 2004.
2011 with Moob Bynum going gorilla on Barea was great.
2004 with the unexpected upset over 4 future HOFers that also precipitated the dismantling of Shaq-Kobe was beautiful as well.

mavs series was also like the only time when phil's team got swept in a playoff series. lakers didn't know at that time they would get swept by another texan team in less than two years tbh

I gotta say nothing beats the laker beatin at d hands of the mavs. But this one comes the closest. Like that mav series, this series it didnt matter who came in. From player 1 to player 10, each got a turn at buttfucking the lakers and each looked like allstars. This one was an epic beatin and all players participated and got moneyshots in the gangbang

The Lakers best playoff exit of the past 10 years has to be getting skull fucked by the Mavs in the 2nd round in 2011. The Lakers have historically owned and tapped the Mavs' ass in the regular season and playoffs. Phil Jackson's teams are invincible when they win game 1 of a series. Think about that. And the Lakers were the 2 time defending champs and had been the champs of the West the last 3 years. On paper and going by history, the Mavs had no chance. And the Lakers are Stern's team too. It was awesome as a Mavs fan to see the Mavs beat the shit out of the Lakers in the playoffs. That shit is rare.

As a fan, 2003 hurt alot but I felt we'd get revenge next year and we did. But 2004 Finals hurt, will always hurt, sucks dick. We didn't deserve to win in 2008 due to the injuries, nor in 2011-present time. But 2004, after all the drama, to see a Piston's team just come in like that and dominate sucked fucking ass.

The most frustrating for me are obviously the 2004 and 2011 series.
2004 felt like a for sure championship. I didn't think the Pistons were that good before the series started, or at the least really had the firepower to threaten the Lakers in a 7 game series. They completely dominated defensively, which made it frustrating as a Lakers fan to watch. Gary Payton was completely useless(much like Nash this year) since he couldnt shoot to save his life and that team needed spacing, Karl Malone was injured, and the rest of the Lakers team was complete garbage. It's not really as big of an upset when you think about it from a basketball perspective. The Pistons were actually just a better team, and I think they win the series 60-70% of the time if you take into account Malone's leg.
2011 was the end of a shot of a 3peat. I also thought the Lakers were the best team going into the playoffs. Kobe was basically playing on one leg, and 4 straight years of deep playoff runs and the olympics finally caught up to him injury wise. They still had a "switch" they could turn on, and that was arguably the last season they had it despite getting swept by the Mavericks. Kobe's Lakers had dominated the Mavs the entire decade, and I assumed we'd have a very easy series against them... and was already looking forward to the OKC series. If Kobe was healthy, the Lakers were the best team in the league and I would pick them to win it all. I still think the Lakers would win that series the majority of the time, Mavs just got EXTREMELY hot that entire playoff run. I also don't think Miami could've kept up with the Lakers size, especially considering that 2011 Miami team was completely dysfunctional offensively... and Lebron was still considered a choker.

2011 was on a level of it's own. 2003 is second.

for me, its either 2003 or this year.
2003 was the spurs finally making it past the only team that could really stop us. they knocked us off the top of the pile in 2000, and had pretty much owned us for a few years. it felt so good to finally get past them....and the whole crying thing was just the cherry on top.
but this year.......yeah, the lakers were battered and broken. the series ended with gasol and 4 guys i'd never even heard of on the floor. it really wasnt much of a challenge. and it shouldnt have been this satisfying.
but it was. the hype. the ballooning $100M payroll 2 years after a lockout which was supposed to bring payrolls down. they hype. the obnoxious LA fans. thie shit talking. the "big 4" that everyone outside of LA knew wasnt going to work. the series of gifts to get them into the playoffs. it was great. absolutely great. watching the mentally weakest lakers team ive ever seen completely come apart....knowing they are capped out and dont have a 1st rounder...multiple guys they could justify amnestying.....very little quality youth or athleticism on the squad....knowing that the next few years look pretty bleak for them....i may actually have enjoyed this one more than 2003.

Lakers have been swept twice in the last 3 season, shouldve been 3 in a row tbh if OKC didn't took one game lightly last year.
2011 Mavs
That was a brutal beatdown! And they were the defending champs, no less!!

11' mavs kinda rekindled my memory of middle school time. we got a goddamn motherfucker in our class who kicked asses in all exams all the way through the 3 some years we studied together, until that one exam that took place just a few months before our graduation, when i finished atop the class and beat him by only 1 point :p:. that was a remarkable victory for me n my niggas, who had been living in motherfucker's shadow for well more than 2.5 years tbh, and it was more than just a scoring title for me, i literally ended an era. that motherfucker sucked major asses in all 2-3 exams that followed up because i destroyed his confidence i think. i ain't a fan of the mavs now and 11' playoffs was probably the worse memory for me as a miami heat fan, but i have to respect them mavs for what they did on the lakers that year
