Hold Thompson and Curry to less than 55 points, should be a win. I say we do in it 5, but leaning 4.

This isn't the same warriors squad the spurs faced back in March. Bogut is playing rejuvenated & they are getting better contributions from their younger players like Barnes & Green. They will give the spurs all they can handle but I see the more experienced team winning out in the end.

In the next few days, we'll all hear about 1,000 times how GS has not won in San Antonio since 1997 ... so of course, GS will win game 1. And then lose the next 4.

Spurs in 5 or 6. 5 if they can really lock down Curry, and I see them losing Game 3. 6 if they struggle to get a rhythm, GS goes on a shooting tear, they lose Games 3 and 4, win 5 and a close one in 6 like it's 2003 all over again.

DejuanorwhatDude

Spurs in 5. Anybody pointing to how well they were shooting should also look at how bad Denver's defense looked. Denver played that terribly on D and still had oppurtunities for a game 7.

I thought the L.A. series would take 5 games, but was glad to be wrong. I think this one will be a sweep also. Spurs will win the first 2 games and take the life out of them. 3rd game should be closer.

benstanfield
05-03-2013, 11:38 AM
People, if we win the first three, the Warriors absolutely aren't going to win game 4 at home. This is a team of fair weather mental midgets. At the first signs of adversity against Denver they cried about the refs, cried about dirty play, got into confrontations with fans, and their coach basically blackballed the refs into getting Faried in foul trouble. If the Spurs are up 3-0 by game 4, look for Curry to have "ankle problems" and "old school" Mark Jackson to "call out" Pop for dirty plays, "it just can't be debated".

If the Spurs drop game 1 at home, however, a team like the Warriors becomes extremely dangerous.

Bill_Brasky
05-03-2013, 11:43 AM
Spurs win the first two at home. Warriors get game 3 on the road. Warriors open up a nice lead in game 4, flashes of last year, forum has mini-meltdown. But Spurs come roaring back to force OT, Warriors poor late game execution helps get the win. Finish em off in SA in game 5.

Going to be a short series if the Warriors pack the paint like they did against Nuggets. Spurs got too many shooters, but they also got to drain them. Paging Danny Green.

I give GS one good game, their first game at home but not by a large margin.

Spurs in 5 - WWLWW. I actually prefer the Spurs lose a game or two for the young guys to not think it's that easy. Two sweeps last year and then a backdoor sweep. Not this year. They need adversity. Curry will have a few times he goes off. But they're no match for the Spurs experience.

This should be Danny Green's best series. The Warriors are a pretty small team with three-point shooters and a point-guard with a gimpy ankle. Green will be called on to defend most if not all of their prominent perimeter players, and him sinking threes would really help Duncan and Parker.

Simply put, everything is set up for Green to come up big in this series. If he plays the way he did against the Clippers last year, he'll be the four-most-important player for the Spurs. I expect him to step up, but that's all on him.

I'm going with Spurs in 5 but a possible sweep because we are getting rest and we are pretty much healthy. When Curry and Thompson are on the bench we can run them out of the gym and the only reason why Bogut looked good is because Denver sucks at defense.

Keep in mind we have never won in this Stadium. ... The last time we beat you guys in sa was in the Alamodome and I believe it was the year you guys tanked and drafted timmy. But what I hope is this young warrior team can learn some good playoff lessons and be able to use them next year to advance further. .. But hey they still gotta pay the games.
