The match up is Goldenstate Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs for Round 2 of the WC playoffs. Can the Warriors steal this one?

A 47-25 team playing against a 58-24 well-rested team with homefield advantage?

Depth City vs. Team No Depth, tbh.

Golden State will need to have a monster series to pull this one off. Their 4th quarter against a desperate Nuggets team-and-by-team-I-mean-Andre-Iguodala does little to inspire.

Spurs have to be careful to stay healthy in this series so a star doesn't go down a la Russel Westbrook.

Golden State has to win a game in San Antonio to have any shot, something they haven't done since Tim Duncan was drafted. Unless my math is wrong, Timmy is literally undefeated at home against Golden State for his career.

Also, the formula for beating the Warriors isn't rocket science: Take care of the ball, secure your rebounds, don't leave shooters wide open.

I don't see how GSW could beat a healthy Spurs. Only if SPurs get injured I see them going through.

But they will play a tough series. This GSW team reminds me of the Seattle Sonics. Ray Allen = Elian Gonzales IMO

The Spurs are too old and boring, the entire season up until this points has been a fluke. Curry is the best shooter to ever play basketball. Warriors in 6.

100 percent of the NBA "experts" on ESPN thought the Warriors would get beat by the Nuggets. Not sure how it's a stretch that nobody thinks they're going to beat the Spurs.

Denver has bigs but they don't have any post game at all.. If McGee could develop some low post moves he'd be scary

I got the Spurs in 5, they drop an early game but then beat them at their own house and then win it at home in 5. Spurs will drop game one or two, then win it at home in 5. I hate to say they drop an early game, but par of the course for Spurs teams at times.

I don't think DLee would be effective coming off that injury, so we have to punish them down low, ready to pass to open shooters when they doubleteam, so Bonner will have a shootfest. They will try to up the tempo, but I think we will control the board hence we will dictate the tempo. You want to slow it down, pound to Bogut and hopefully gets hin in foul trouble. Green needs to close in on Curry and avoid leaving him to help on D because he has a very quick release. Multiple PNR hopefully wear him down. I expect CoJo would get great series guarding Curry/Jack. Even use TMac to post their smaller guards would be fun to watch. In the end experience > youth will win this series. Spurs on 4. Go Spurs Go!

RuffnReadyOzStyle

We're banged up on the front line and they've got Bogut back on a mission, Landry and maybe Lee. What's more, the Warriors win by hitting mid and long range jumpers, and that is exactly what we tend to give up by concentrating on defending the rim and the 3pt line. Also, their crowd is the best in the NBA and a big home court advantage.

Spurs in a tough 6 game series, and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes 7.

Spurs in 5. Warriors eek out one game at home and get closed out in a game 5 blowout.

Wow Tim Legler who always is gushing over the Spurs picked them to win in 7

If by "gushing" you mean usually bashes them and picks against them in almost every series every year, sure.

Maybe he's changed his tune this year though. I wouldn't know since I don't watch ESPN's biased coverage of basketball anymore unless it's just PTI or ATH.

Even with the positive minutes Bonner got against LA, I couldn't make myself believe that Pop would do 2006 all over again. After all, this is the coach with 4 rings who said that the Spurs were returning to defense, and instead manages to fuck both the offense and the defense. Someone let me know if he says "we just didn't make shots" in the post game presser.
