Rudolph is Dwight's mouthpiece btw. I thought he wasn't credible, followed him at the deadline last year. He is.

And he's just sending a message to the Lakers not to come with anything less than a fully guaranteed, max deal.

Scams never cease in LakerLand so who knows.
Phildos return would seal the deal in L.A.

OTOH Howard has got to be sick of Bryant.
My guess is under the table payments above and beyond his contract as the Fakes try to save face.

Dwight's a guaranteed Laker.

I still don't buy that someone (even an idiot like Howard) will leave any money on the table after a season that showed just how tenuous his position as a dominant center in this league can be. Houston's the leverage he needs to get the Lakers to grant him the wish list that I'm sure he must have (fire D'Antoni certainly, show at least some signs of a firm rebuilding strategy, amnesty Kobe?). Without the Rockets at least reportedly in the mix I think Baby Bus could still be dumb enough to think that just being the Lakers is reason enough for Dwight to re-sign and otherwise stay the course.

Houston's not really the leverage when the Lakers can just offer him the max. Mitch won't fire D'antoni. They won't amnesty Kobe. Gasol is probably gone though. If he wants to leave then he can leave. And if he does, it's all on Jimmy.

Texas has no state income tax whereas Cali is over 10%. I'm sure someone has run the math, but just because Fakes can offer 5 years instead of 4 doesn't mean Duh-white would leave an enormous amount on the table. Now, someone has to explain to him how this works, and he has to be able to compute basic maths, but assuming that is done staying in L:lolL is not guaranteed

in addition to the extra year, they can offer him raises in bigger increments (i believe something like 7.5% instead of 4.5% per season). still, dwight never seemed happy in LA, and i don't think he enjoys the limelight that comes with it, the scrutiny after ever loss, the rumor after rumor of how happy or unhappy he is, the dynamic with kobe, etc.

The question is as easy as this -- in which city is it easier to have an orgy with pornstars in a million-dollar beach house? That is how Dwight will make his decision.

That could happen in Houston too...but it wouldn't be on a beach and the chicks would be blacker than night

Houston doesn't deserve to experience the shit that Howard brings with him; even if they did take out our point guard.

He's staying in LA.. there's no way he leaves $25 million on the table, especially with child #5 on the way.

Thanks for your concern. Your response is noted. Someone from the asshurt relief medical department should be calling you within the next 24-48 hours to check on your symptoms. In the meantime, #BeWellFriend.
