Throughout Spurs playoff history, we've had memorable games, the memorial day miracle, Kerr's three pointers, Jax offensive burst against New Jersery, and others.

Where does this one rank?

Best Spurs playoff game I've ever watched, but I've only been around since 2010.

Most people here probably can't rank it as they all left crying at the end of the 3rd. (robdiaz) :lmao :lmao

There have obviously been more meaningful wins, duh. However, that was the most thrilling win I've ever witnessed. The Spurs were just lethargic, off and getting owned the entire game until 4:30 left. Then the crazy clutch overtime shots. Wow!

I agree. There are some games that I remember more than others. For me, this will be one of them.

Clinch game 99
Game 5 vs Pistons in Finals 05
Memorial Day Miracle
Close out game vs Lakers in 03

All rank ahead of the first game of a 2nd round series vs a 6 seed that we would beat in the best if 7 if we won or lost.

Was a lot of fun to watch for about 30% of the game though... Watching curry go off was insane... The watching us come back was sweeter....

Reminded me if that game vs the suns in the regular season where Manu had 48.

For me, the most exciting Spurs playoff games have been:

2005 Finals Game 5
2003 WCF Game 6
2008 Round 1 Game 1
2013 Round 2 Game 1
2012 WCF Game 2
2006 WCF Game 7 (despite the loss)
2004 Round 2 Game 5 (despite the loss)

horry hip check on nash, finals game 7 against detroit, memorial day miracle, duncan near quadruple-double, all are top 5 to me. Horry's performance against detroit in game 5 also made that game special. This game was great, and is definitely top 10 Spurs payoff games, ever.

Game 5 of the 2005 NBA Finals was the best Spurs game I have ever seen. This game ranks up there with some of those 2006 WCSF games against the Mavs though.

2005 finals game 5 of course is probably the greatest spurs game of all time. Robert Horry dunk & 3s, etc.
1999 Memorial Day miracle is up there too.
2003 Elimination of the 3peat Lakers
2003 Duncan's quad-dub vs. the Nets
2008 Duncan 3 versus the suns was fun.
2011 Neal's clutch 3 against memphis (in game 5?) was great, even though that series was trash.

I was lucky enough to be in the building for 2008 R1G1 spectacle, and at the time I considered it the most exciting game I'd ever seen. In terms of overall rank? More significant games must go higher, so:

1. 2005 Finals, Game 5
2. 1999 Finals, Game 5
3. 1999 West Finals, Game 2
4. 2003 Finals, Game 6
5. 2013 West Semis, Game 1
6. 2008 West Quarters, Game 1

If it's just rankings based on how much hair I lost and how many strokes I had, then we go:

1. 2005 Finals, Game 5
2. 2013 West Semis, Game 1
3. 2008 West Quarters, Game 1

Good list.

One suggestion: wasn't it 2003 round 2 game 5 where Horry clanked the winning shot for the Lakers?

On a related note: God I loved beating the Lakers after their threepeat.

This win doesn't mean shit unless we win 11 more games.

Nonsense. Pretty sure the 2OT Game 1 against Phoenix means a lot to Spurs fans, as does winning game 7 in New Orleans. Or Duncan taking over against Phoenix in 98. Or AJ killing a trio of Kidd, KJ, and Nash in that same series. Or the 24 point comeback against the Clippers last year. Or 19 year-old Parker completely destroying Payton on the road in game 3 of that Seattle series. Or destroying 2-seed Dallas in 2010. Or Bruce Bowen saving game 5 against Dallas in 06 by blocking Nowitzki's game-winner.

Not denying that it was a fantastic game that will Didn't say it won't be one to remember, but it doesn't mean shit if no title.

I see Elian Gonzalez getting another couple of monster games. let's see if Green and Kawhi can show up for a whole series.

right there with the comeback against phoenix when TD hit the 3 pointer to send to OT. can't beat memorial day miracle or the detroit series game 5 yet as of yet because those games ultimately led to titles.

don't remember 2012 WCF game 2 being particularly exciting. i think 2012 Round 2 game 3 was more epic. the huge comeback against the Clippers.

For me last nights win was the 2nd most exciting comeback for the spurs. #1 for me still has to be the Memorial Day miracle.

Top 5. I always remember this one. I was working all damn day and got home with a beer and started watching from the start of the fourth and saw Curry with like 38 and was like :wow. We were down by a shitload and Curry kept going in he had made 2 plays back 2 back driving past Leaonard and throwing up floaters over Duncan. I just remember telling my cousin WE GOT THIS WATCH and bam curry got cold and once i saw Danny Green hit the floater in the lane i knew we were gonna comeback :lol. But yeah that comeback was amazing. That Manu three killed me though I was so pissed. But Manu just did his magic. The Mistaken Miracle. I'll always remember that 1.

It was exciting because during that game, we all thought the Spurs were going to the Finals. It was their 20th consecutive win...and then it all went to shit. :lol

For what it's worth, here are the highlights from that game. In particular, look at 1:45. I always remember that moment.

Game 7 2005 was the most nerve wracking but rewarding game I've seen. My favorite was the clincher in 2003 because of DRob.

In terms of the actual game, this was the most thrilling one I have seen the Spurs play since I've been watching, which goes back to 1999. So much drama, so many big shots. For roughly half an hour I was on the edge of my seat.

One of the best games I've had the pleasure of watching. It was drama at it's finest, the agony to the ecstasy that I felt when Manu sunk that 3.

Great game, but here's a list of games I can think of that rank above it just in the Tim Duncan era. Apologies if I got the year or game number wrong on any of these. Too lazy to look them up.

Game 6 against the Knicks (first title of course)
Game 7 against the Pistons (Amazing)
Game 5 against the Pistons (Horry scores 21)
Game 6 against the Nets (Duncan near quad double)
Game 6 against the Lakers (shut down the forum)
Game 6 against the Mavs (Steve Kerr)
Game 6 against the Sonics (FUCK YOU SEATTLE)
Game 2 against the Blazers (MDM)
Game 5 against the Lakers (0.4 in '04)
...
Basically any game eliminating the Mavs.
...

Tops for me are the MDM and Game 7 of the 2005 Finals, which IMHO was one of the greatest Finals ever.

This one was pretty freakin' sweet, though...but we gotta get 3 more and put GS away quickly.
