We all know Manu's 3 was great but i must give props about the crosscourt pass to get him the ball in the perfect spot to catch and shoot. Was spot on. Very Impressive :)

Well I guess we've learned to live with him all these years and he came through for us again so we need to enjoy every bit of it because we still won. I was just thinking this could possibly be the last playoffs for him before he retires which is a little sad considering all he's done and there will be no more surprises on what he can bring out of nowhere.

So was the MDM.

I also like the visual of Jack and Barnes standing shoulder to shoulder, asking each other "isn't that your man"?

CROFL what??? The fact that Manu plays with big cojones is beyond the poin; this statement makes no sense. What else is a good 3 point shooter who receives a pass while wide open supposed to do with 3 seconds left and the team needing points??? He has no other logical option but to shoot the ball. The fact that it went in has nothing to do with guts, he's a 36 year old professional shooting guard that has shot 5 million jumpers in his lifetime.

He could have, just as easily, passed it to a wide open boris diaw who was one foot from the basket

Funny you said that. I was just discussing this year's Spurs and saying that we'll see if there are any defining games in this year's playoffs should this team be fortunate enough to win it all...games we shouldn't have won...difference makers, like the MDM.

Then this happened.

Would have been a difficult pass that may have had to be bounced in or zipped in the air (risk of being deflected) and never getting a shot off, also with 2 Warriors players rotating over to the paint by Diaw. That decision would be more illogical than that 30 foot three Manu took prior to the game winner. As a good shooter you can't pass that ball with so little time left if you're receiving the ball wide open and just have to catch and shoot. It's a no brainer. A series of several events have to go right for that scenario to result in a win, all dependent on the previous event being successfully completed. In what actually happened, the wide open jumper simply had to fall.

Well that's obvious, I acknowledged that in my post. I was showing the stupidity in implying Manu has guts for taking and making that shot. Any professional shooting guard that can hit threes in that exact situation that doesn't take that shot is a moron. It's by far the most logical decision. The ball going in has nothing to do with bravery/guts.
