All Spurs Fans and witnesses of the events of 6 May 2013,
In the likeness of the Memorial Day Miracle, we need to nickname last night's victory. I would like to run a poll on the site, but before that, we need to gather the best suggestions for names. Please post them here and I'll start a poll in about a day.

My first nomination:
"The Miraculous Four"

The Warriors against Golden State.
Referring to the role players being warriors, as well as Jefferson turning on his team per par.

"Manu's Midnight Miracle"
this is solid too. "The Midnight Miracle" alone might be solid. it would better capture the entirety of the comeback (which was the true miracle), rather than just the one shot

Midnight Mayhem, perhaps? Just so we're not slapping miraculous labels on every memorable Spurs win.

The Four Minutes of Apocalypse
You got the Warriors vs. the Spurs (items worn by horsemen), Timmy with the Pestilence goods, Curry feasted for so much of the game only to play but found only Famine in the closing minutes, and Death is so often portrayed as a pale, bald, unstoppable being who comes for you at the end. Last night he wore 20.

Right. Not trying to come up with any kind of "flashy" name (again it was Arcadian's suggestion in another thread)... but I will seriously remember that Duncan had the flu, simple as that, and we had to come back WITHOUT him... And we DID. :wow

What made the win especially significant was just how much we were down, and how little time when had to come back. "Four Minute" signifies the latter, "Miracle" gives a nod to how unlikely it is to come back from 16 down in 4 minutes. So besides the fact that it's quite pithy, "The Four Minute Miracle" also has the most descriptive value, imo. #campaigning

the breakfast game... i own a dvr and have gotten to where i just start the games an hour late and skip all the commercials or just start it whenever i want. i had monday night off so i started the game way late, around 11pm or so, and luckily i had set the dvr to record an hour of over burn just in case, and it still cut off right after manus big 3 in 2OT, thanks to TNT for putting like 30 mins of the heat bulls ending on my dvr recording, pushing mine back... i had to go to espn.com to see if the warriors did anything with the 1.2 seconds. it was like 2-3 am by the time i finished the game and digested all the blog coverage.
it really was the breakfast game for me!

"The 4 minute marathon." For a long time it was believed nobody could run a mile in 4 minutes, so the phrase "4 minute mile" became well known and a barrier/litmus test of achievement. The last 4 minutes of the game was a marathon of a comeback. Running a marathon in 4 minutes sounds so absurd, but that comeback in 4 minutes was a bit absurd.
My second vote is Game 3:57. Singling out Duncan's flu or Ginobili's game winner just doesn't feel right to me. Neither one had an historic game alone. I agree with previous posters that the nickname should express how much time was left when the comeback was started.

Game 1 was the first Spurs playoff game in over a week, so it broke the "fast" of no Spurs playoff games. Couple that with Pop's postgame comments, and there is only one conclusion...
THE BREAKFAST GAME!!!

I think I'm just going to call it "The Breakfast Game" because here we are, at breakfast time the next day (actually what day is it, lol?)... still trying to wind down from the craziness. Plus, it makes me laugh because I think of Pop yelling at Manu, and then him kissing his ass later. So I've decided to call it "The Breakfast Game" for shits and giggles. When/if we win this series, it'll be even more funny and EPIC, IMO. :lol
