Spurs only lost by single digits with a combined 36 minutes from Neal/Bonner and 18 from Diaw/Splitter
Spurs didnt get completely dominated after the game looking like the Bulls/Heat
they only had 14 assists which almost never happens, if they move the ball theyll be a lot better
the 3s were not dropping
Danny Green played great iso defense on Steph Curry
Klay Thompson had to be unstoppable for GS to win the game
Splitter looked good when he was out there

the negatives
would be a combined 36 minutes from Neal/Bonner which included a Bonner start and Neal second half start
Pop playing small and stupid
Parker in hero mode
Turnobili playing bad for the whole series

We didn't lose by as much as the Bulls.

The Spurs ONLY lost by single digits; that is a positive? The Spurs have shown a pattern, at HOME. Therefore, there is zero positives coming out of this game. Curry shot like crap, and the Warriors were getting shots that even pick-up players can hit at a 50%+ rate. The Spurs cannot guard the PNR, and Parker is being abused. McGrady might even be an upgrade on Ginobili......

spurs figured out how to make stops again.

The only way to beat this team is to jump on them early and never let up. Make their shooters have all the pressure to catch up. Play our best defense for all 48 minutes.

I agree they dug themselves too far a hole to climb out of klay and curry were under control 2nd half.

I think the positive of the Spurs just shooting utter shit right now is really a negative. They tend to be contagious with this disease, it's happened in the past 2 postseasons. Once things go south, the role players tend to continue poorly and have no confidence if things aren't clicking for the team. The Spurs need Manu and especially Parker to assert themselves earlier and throughout the games, with more attitude and desperation, and ensure they are taking their signature/best shots they know how to create...really comes down to attacking the paint and creating for others as well along with that. If they get going they can get the whole team going in the right direction. I know for sure that it's not going to be Neal/Green/Bonner/Leonard perimeter shooting to get us back into the game.

The only positive is Curry might get break an ankle walking to the airport...it is our only chance of winning.

It's a complete mystery that fucking with the lineups in the playoffs suddenly causes the offense to sputter. It's not like that's ever happened before. The Spurs' court spacing was magnificent./blue

Starting Bonner was pure genius.

The key to Game 3 is to weather the early onslaught. We all know Curry and Thompson are going to go ape in an attempt to be the gods that buried the Spurs early for the 2-1 lead. It's going to happen. What the Spurs need to do is calmly go about their business, and look at what they did in the third quarter tonight. The Warriors are mortal, and it showed in the second half. It should have been a mortality that brought the Spurs back into the game, but instead some calls went the other way, and Parker/Ginobili went into hero mode and jacked up wasteful shots that killed momentum. This game was literally the second quarter away from being a different ballgame. The Spurs stayed competitive for the first, third, and most of the fourth, but just couldn't get shots to fall.

The positive is that at least we won't get swept but we look like the Nuggets in the previous rounds. Unless we bully the shit out of their guys and learn to make buckets, Spurs are getting backdoor swept.

The key to game 3 is which lineup is weathering that onslaught.

Man, I love Ginobili, but the dude is playing like crap. And Bonner just plain blows. The dude passed up so many wide open 3's for his patented crappy "drive and hook." But yea it was Klay Thompson playing unconscious like the Stephen Curry of Game 1 that did us in.

We were able to stop on 3rd. Now to get back to Spurs basketball, attack the rim, ball movement open people. What happened to best team assist?
