Why did he only play 8 minutes, tbh?..

Has to be the only logical reason.

Otherwise, Pop made the dumbest decision not playing him.

Pop being Pop and messing with lineups to go small ball, not sure why we had bonner on the floor though if he wasn't shooting.

Pop played small ball the whole 2nd half, with Tim and Tiago alternating as the big. He's not injured.

I've been saying this for years but the best thing that could happen to the Spurs is Bonner suffering a career ending injury. Pop will never let go of this crutch as long he's healthy

I'm just surprised Michael Finley never checked in.

Pop has been baited a la Mavericks circa 2006.

throw the towers in there together tbh. if their gameplan is to let green take Tiago 1 on 1 and beat us, i'm fine with that

Matt Bonner got sixteen minutes.

Diaw is perfect for small ball, so I don't see that as a reason.

Pop dug himself into a hole with a crap decision.

My point was just that Bonner played way too much. Diaw should have been out there.

IMO Diaw was probably not moving welll in practices due to recent surgery. We'll need him.

Boris playing so few mins made no sense -> the only plausible explanation is that diaw didnt react well physically after his first game back from injury

In the media day video, Pop was asked if Boris's back was bothering him. Pop said something to the effect of "not as far as he knows."

I'd rather have McGrady out there than Bonner tbh, looks lke that first round was a fluke (we all knew it was)
