On friday I saw Sean Elliot at my dentist. I had my spurs shirt on and he looked at me and smiled and said bye when he was leaving. my mom said I should have gotten him to sign my shirt but I think that that would have been kind of rude because he was there with his daughter and no one else was bothering him.

what would you have done?

I met Sean at his old house at Par Man Place on Vance Jackson. My old mans a season ticket holder and gave me 2 invitations to a party sean was having. He lied at the same house that Rodman lived as well.....speaking of the worm...I crashed one of his parties...but thats another story! :blah

I would have told him that I loved everything he has done for the Spurs and extended my hand for a handshake

then told him, he has always been one of my favorite Spurs...including the men on films him and Pop used to do

then told him to thank his brother for allowing us to enjoy Sean as one of the best Spurs color man.

then wished him and the Spurs well next season

I think it was cool that you didn't bother him. I saw Tony Parker at Piatti once. The whole restaurant knew he was there, but nobody disturbed him. I thought that was a class act by everyone.

It's nice to not bother the guys, I saw Devin Brown at Sherlock's last year and some guy would not leave him alone when he was trying to watch the Kings game that was on. I think the guy was drunk. I admit I talked to him but at least waited until after the game was over (what can I say, I don't live in SA and never run into the guys outside of games).

I have run into him three times. Twice before a game. Once at an Exxon. The times at the game he has always extended his hand for a handshake. He even offered to sign my ticket both times. He is one of the few athletes that offers to sign autographs. I would have just said hi and thanks. The time I saw him at Exxon he was a kind of a ways from me.

He gave me a T-shirt once when he came back from vacation in the Bahamas. It was white with the flag of the Bahamas on the front. It was pretty cheap, but hey, it was a free shirt from Sean Elliott, so that was pretty cool.

I'll add to the "Sean Elliott is a quality human being" thread. :)

My mother is a elementary school teacher in San Antonio and she told me about how Sean Elliott visited her school a few years ago when he was still playing and talk to the kids. I thought that was pretty cool. I don't know if it's standard for teams in any sport to go around the community like that but no pro athletes ever visited me when I was in school.

I'd punch him in one kidney because he went to U of A, and then i'd punch him in the other for being a Spur.... Oh wait...

it's a joke people.
