The ridiculous jumpers were NOT going to continue to fall. It's also different when they're behind and need shots to fall. Suddenly, they don't.

Live by it.

Die by it.

We started to in the 3rd and they tied it up.

We went back to Spurs ball and pulled away.

I'm sure this was part of it but the Spurs D was worlds better this game. They suffocated the shooters and played big inside. Those jumpers also don't fall when you step up the defense.

Yes but it wasn't just their drifters and leaners all swishing most of the time, but we kept the ball out of Klay Thompson's hands way more often than the first game, and put Green on Curry earlier which made him really gunshy most of the game.

It looks like Pop made the perfect adjustments on those two. They will probably have trouble for the rest of the series unless they keep hitting threes from Mars again.

Defense carried over from game 2 second half.

got to think they found something. D still needs to be cleaned up some more.

It didn't matter what we did. They could have throw up a hook shot from beyond the arc, and it was going in. Shit, they were shooting off one foot.

The key word in that is what you bolded. By coming out aggressive on offense and running Tony off three screens so he could actually get free for a shot, we put the pressure on GS to make shots to keep up with us.

That is what made them need shots, and when they were under pressure to make them, and when we were defending as well as we did tonight, the combination is not good for them...or any other team.

The bottom...come out aggressive on offense and keep them back on their heels.

this . Spurs started big. play most of the game with Bigs. less wide open threes. less mistakes on D (bonner and neal)

Bonner killed the momentum in the 2nd quarter.
Neal has been playing like shit since his sophomore season.
That small lineup in the 4th gave up 895749589843759 wide open shots, but the Warriors weren't as confident as they were in games 1/2 because of our good D early in the game.
