I have a quick question.

I am typing a response to a small claims suit brought against me and want to know the proper way to address a Justice of the Peace.

Is it "Honorable", "Madam J.P."?

In a letter, I would think it's "Honorable".

Why are you guys getting into small claims for such a little sum of money?

Because he has to beat me. He wants to have this "victory" over me, I guess.

Won't court cost, gas money and parking fees be more than the total?

My thoughts exactly since he'd be back in Dallas by the time the court date rolls around.

The court costs are included in the lawsuit - so basically, he's suing me for about $262.
