View Full Version : Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..

He has soiled himself with all this Warriors excitement, tbh:lol..

This was some of the most biased announcing in Spurs history, tbh..he was openly cheering for the Warriors, complaining about every anti-Warriors call and ignoring anti-Spurs calls, he cheered when Harrison Barnes made that jump shot in OT:lol..

Hopefully he has a stroke soon, tbh..

Mike turico was worse. "There you go" "there you go". He busted a nutt when they took the lead.

I defended the guy prior, but today he was horrible. Tirico wasn't much better. The Warrior knob-slobbing has been intense all series long.

Mike Tirico, the play-by-play announcer, before one of the commercials complaining about Hack-a-Bogut by saying this is terrible basketball and needs to be taken out of the game.

And don't get me started on Hubie. Dude is blind as a bat. Gets excited about Bogut drawing a charge (he didn't) after Parker is fouled. Erroneously says that Green banks a three in when it was an absolute swish. Getting really excited when a foul call was called on Leonard for over the back. Saying that Bogut needs to have possession of the ball when his foot was on the line (possession does not matter) while the ball was touching them.

How about the camera crew? Let's see...there were two phantom calls to put the Spurs in the penalty in the fourth and I didn't get 1 damn replay to see where this mysterious call came from. Also, the decibel meter made it back to the telecast.

All this being said, Spurs lost a game that the championship teams of yester year would have won. You can't give games away in the playoffs, especially when your heel is on the opposing team's neck.

They were both terrible, tbh.

Tirico has always been a Spur hater, but Hubie Brown is clearly sucking on the Warriors very hard.

I don't care if he likes the Spurs and jerks off to Pop, or if he hates the Spurs. Either way, the old man is senile.

He called Manu, "Manano." He called Golden State, "Garden State."

He should be in a nursing home being fed Jello. I'm not sure how he's allowed to speak into a microphone on national TV.

Nope, just please commentate with no bias. Not really hard to do. These two were worse than Elliott and Bill Land. Doesn't matter though, won't be listening to the next game with the equally senile Dick Stockton and the Warrior die hard, Chris Webber.

This team is just flat out terrible. Hubie Brown must still be bitter the Spurs ruined his shitty coaching career ever year in the playoffs because I've never seen someone openly hate them as much as he has in the past. That being said, today was even worse. I was floored at how much he was openly cheering for GS. Tirico is also terrible and I'm so tired of his corny ass attempts at one liners.

Actually what's cool about watching the games muted is that you really focus on the plays they are running and the defensive rotations and such. Music would be cool too.

I noticed this, but you know what? It's nothing new. The media has never given the Spurs their due. Actually, I should say most of the media. The guys on ESPN and ABC don't, but the guys on TNT definitely do. Chuck and Kenny respect the hell out of the Spurs. It's pretty much unbearable watching the Spurs on ESPN/ABC with the volume on, and I can't remember when it wasn't.

Tirico: I think the ball hit Bogut on the hip when his foot was out of bounds.
Hubie: Yes, but did he have possession?

WTF?

No Shite . Missus was in the background . She has no idea who Hubie Brown is but said he showing a lot of bias towards GS.

When Spurs did something good , it was GS playing bad. When GS did something of significance , they are great.

His love affair with Bogut was even more comical.

Listening to the local Golden State announcers could not be worse ... I hate it when Hubie Brown explains what the Warriors have to do better here and there ... and if they do it, he says "there you go" ... I mean, does he have a dog?

I say roll over Warriors and you get a biscuit ...

ABC/ESPN on a Sunday afternoon game rooting against the Spurs? I hate games on ESPN/ABC because if your a Spurs fan you know that the announcers will lean to any
team other than the Spurs. Turn off the sound on the TV then turn on WOAI to listen to the game. I do this every time they have our game on. Will someone start a countdown clock on how many days David Stern has left....

I've always liked Hubie, but I completely agree with others claiming Hubie has been a GS homer in this series. Honestly, I believe he's following a directive from ABC/ESPN because, if anything, he's always been pro-Spurs.

As espn has gained power over the years, they feel comfortable showing more and more bias towards teams they want to win.

Normally a Hubie defender and I like his knowledge of the game, but last night was painful to listen to. He really needed to reel it in on the GS love.

Tirico: I think the ball hit Bogut on the hip when his foot was out of bounds.
Hubie: Yes, but did he have possession?

WTF?

That was my favorite Hubieism from last night.

Close second was the Curry-Manu tipped ball out of bounds play that they replayed several times to figure out what happened.

Hubie: "Clearly off Manu."

End court replay shows ball going off of Curry's hands...

Hubie: "Well, that is the clearest view, and it does show the ball going off of Curry, but all of the other shots were inconclusive. This ball should stay with the Warriors."

Da fuck?

As annoying as Hubie is, it is the announcer's job to reel in the color guy, and Tirico completely failed at that. He's just as much a GS cheerleader as Hubie is.

Agreed, Hubie is one of my favorites. He IS very knowlegable and is a very good announcer. The bias he is showing towards the GSWarrior is definately evident and gets under my skin too. I think Marv Albert is the only other announcer that I'd rather have covering a game tbh..

Yesterday's commentary was pretty awful. I love how Hubie was praising Bogut because he was able to avoid picking up fouls in the 2nd half. The best crew on tv right I would say is Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller.
