"it could be an earthquake. It could be a volcano. It could be some sort of flesh eating virus. All I know is that God does not let homosexuality go unpunished, and Minneapolis is next in line for his wrath.

Pat Robertson, Who Prophesied 'Romney Will Win,' Urges Viewers to Beware False Prophets

On last week's episode of the 700 Club, Pat Robertson urged viewers to avoid false prophets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Robertson#Predictions) and televangelists caught up in scandal.

Robertson bluntly informed Hinn that “the Lord told me” that Mitt Romney would defeat President Obama (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QxAulXqlgc&feature=youtu.be).

Not only did God inform Robertson that “Romney will win” but that he will be a two-term president who presides over a huge economic boom.

Robertson even told Romney to save him a ticket for the inauguration: “I told Mitt a long time ago, I called him and said listen, I’ve been in prayer and number one you’re going to win the nomination and number two you’re going to win the general election, he said ‘well what can I do for you,’ I said give me a seat on the platform during your inauguration, give me a ticket to your inauguration.”

“The Lord said he’s going to have a second term, I told him there will be to be trillions of dollars coming into the economy when you’re elected,” Robertson continued, “the stock market ought to boom, everything ought to boom.”

This all deeply reassured Hinn who said that Robertson was conveying “God’s voice.”

It's the Daily Currant bro. It's embarrassing that Yahoo! News actually sourced that in their Minnesota gay marriage article.

Minnesota to legalize gay marriage
By Liz Goodwin, Yahoo! News | The Ticket – 1 hr 13 mins ago

Minnesota senators approved a gay marriage bill on Monday, meaning the Midwestern state will soon be the 12th in the union to allow same-sex couples to wed.

Gov. Mark Dayton is expected to sign the bill into law on Tuesday.

Just last week, Delaware lawmakers voted to allow gay marriage in the state. In April, Rhode Island also passed a same-sex marriage law. Gay rights advocates point to California, Illinois, Oregon and New Jersey as the next states that might join the wave of gay marriage legalization.

More than 35 states ban same-sex marriage either through laws or voter-passed amendments to their constitutions. Public opinion has rapidly shifted on the issue, with a slight majority of Americans now saying they support it in polls.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn) told a local TV station that she would consider leaving the state if the gay marriage bill passed (http://dailycurrant.com/2013/05/13/bachmann-threatens-to-leave-minnesota-over-marriage-equality/).

Don't let the door hitcha...

However, regardless of her wacky, Armageddon-tinged rhetoric, there's no way she's leaving a district that wouldn't throw her out even after her last 2 years of craziness...

And lol going to Eugene. She would have a rude awakening once she got there.

If this were put on the ballot, it would likely pass overwhelmingly just to have her gone after this statement. There are a bunch of relaxed and groovy ELCA members living there who would like nothing better than for her to pack her freak show and closet case husband, and leave.

I'm screwed. I've already lived in Tom Delay's and Lamar Smith's districts. It's only fitting that Bachmann would move to Texas and become my new rep.

The IRS Will Kill People Through Obamacare (http://thinkprogress.org/health/2013/05/15/2017211/michele-bachmann-obamacare-irs-kill-people/)

Since the IRS also is the chief enforcer of Obamacare requirements, [Bachmann] asked whether the IRS’s admission means it “will deny or delay access to health care” for conservatives.

At this point, she said, that “is a reasonable question to ask.” […]

[S]hould Americans fear their government may try to harm them if they are conservative?

“It now is an entirely reasonable question for the American people to ask,” she said. “Will Obamacare be so politicized and misused?”
