Man I would have liked to have seen him in the second half for just a few minutes. JUst to see if he has something to offer. When shots are falling things are great but when we slump we slump.

I would have liked to see him for 2 reasons
1) Look for a spark in the game
2) give some rest to TP or Manu.
Neil/CoJo were not cutting it in the 2nd half.

How he isn't playing over Bonner i'll never know. No way he's THAT out of shape still or is that unfamiliar with the system. I think Pop just isn't comfortable playing him for whatever reason.

If they're going to play an extended rotation, he can't be any worse than Neal or Bonner, tbh..

Perhaps even his size could provide some better defense on Barnes than Neal can.

I don't get the TMac love. The move would reek of desperation. Granted, we haven't seen him practice, but he hasn't shown much in his past few years in the NBA. Sure he was great in his prime, but what does he have left? Even in China he was outscored by the likes of Quincy Doby, Josh Akognon, Steph Marbury, Marcus Haislip, and Pooh Jeter.

Not looking at him to give more than 3-5 mins really...
Plus if other players aren't contributing and are getting abused on the defensive end, why not at least throw him out to see if he can provide something.
I'm not proposing he be looked at as a consistent contributor, just someone who could come in and hopefully provide a spark.

The Spurs only need to play 3 bigs. Diaw and Splitter should be getting 25+ minutes.

I too would like to see McGrady, but only because I want to see him come in as a small hero. More than that I want to see Diaw and Splitter more.

I had high hopes for TMac but unfortunately he probably has not shown much in the practices they've had.

TMAC didn't play in any single regular season game for the Spurs and you huckleberries want him to see action in a PO game?? If this guy gets in the game, it will be because Pop has given up on the guys that brought you to the dance. If that's the case, might as well just wave the white flag because we're toast.

Pop should have given up long ago on Bonner and Neal IMO.

When he got a couple of minutes in the regular season, I noticed he didn't try to shoot. Made a couple of passes. But he really impressed me with his defense. As I recall he made a couple of nice plays and/or steals. If he's in shape he might give a couple of minutes on defense against their long shooters.

TMAC was just brought in for injury insurance. If someone gets injured, that is the only possibility of him playing.
Still would like to see him for a stretch. Always kind of liked McGrady.

Considering the Spurs offense has been more of an issue, TMac could make an impact even if his shot wasn't falling with his court vision/passing.
But if Pop did overreact it would be more Bonner, Neal, and Blair before him.

I don't want to see TMac out of love for the guy. I just think he can do better than Gary Neal. I mean, surely.

And playing Baynes would fix the rebounding issues. BUT THEY DON'T KNOW THE SYSTEM YOU MORONS. THEY DON'T HAVE THE CORPORATE KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY TO GET ON THE COURT. WHAT TEAM HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING THE LAST FEW YEARS.

If he can do somehow a Glen Robinson impersonation, i would like him to get some of the Neal/Green minutes if we are up in the first half.
It would help keep Manu or TP a bit fresh if he can carry some offense.
If he shits the bed then he is just as good as Danny or Gary.

I hope he sticks around for next year, he could be really good for Kawhi and help him become an offensive machine. Bruce and McGrady should work together with Kawhi and could help turn him into a TMAC/Bowen Hybrid. Now that would be something to behold.
But for these playoffs. I'd like to see him get a few minutes ahead of Neal especially. That couldnt hurt.

This. When nothiing is falling on offense (For example game 4 OT, game one from 1minute mark to 44 minutes mark...) he could come in, give him 4-5 minutes, if nothing happens, get him out, but I am pretty much sure he is MUCH better than MyShootsAren'tFallingSoIPlayTerribleDefense Neal...

Manu missed 9 games, and is clanging everything in sight. TMac hasn't really played since February.

It would be awesome if TMac got on the court and just went off. I would be jumping for joy, until Ginobili shoots 3 3s in a row and airballs all of them. :lol

I really like what the Spurs are doing on the defensive end. They just gotta hit their shots and make free throws down the stretch.
They will win tonight, I am not even worried.

I would give Neal's minutes to T Mac in the first half just to see how he is. If he moves well, let it be permanent. Can't be worse than Neal right now.

Yes he can. TMac can't shoot, was never known for his defense and not familiar with our system.
I could never understand the fans logic of "he can't be any worse than (insert player)". Neal may not be a great player but he does move his feet well on defense (has very quick feet in small spaces), although he lacks recovering speed, he shoots well and drives to the basket well and has the ability to draw fouls when driving. Game 3 he collected three fouls while driving. His ability to shoot the three and put the fall on the floor forces opponents to help which leaves open lanes or shooters at the three point lane. Not bad for a role player.

His lateral quickness is completely non-existent at this point, and he's shooting 6-22 from the field in this series, a whopping 27% from the field..

Pop needs to plug in some new players. We just aren't getting enough from anyone outside the Big 3. We need to see some Blair. I'm not in love with Blair, but I know he can do work against Landry and Barnes. He is all hustle and will push his weight around. Problem is he won't bring Offense which we are already struggling with. But I think it's time to see a new approach. The Spurs are getting to be to much of a finesse club. GS doesn't fear anyone we put on the court. I'm not sure why Pop doesn't see this. Mix it up a little, thrown in Blair and Baynes, even if only for a few minutes. See how they do. T Mac? I dunno, it would be nice to have his length. He can even run the point for stretches. Can he hurt us worse than Boner boy or Neal? He should be in shape, it's been almost a month. He has always been a good passer. The Spurs value ball movement. I am kinda with the masses though, what can T Mac have left, or what can he really do? Still, a few minutes can't hurt. I just hate seeing size and grit on the bench, even if they aren't great, we need grit.

He's 6'8" and long plus can handle the ball. I don't see any downside. Especially when the offense is sputtering and we need more creators.

Its easy to say all these on hindsight, but how would you know your shots arent falling in the game and will continue not falling? Playing by percentages, if you keep missing at the start, you will start scoring sooner or later. Who knows we didnt start scoring? Only after the game we know that. Unless we can turn time back, theres no way to know.
