It should have been over tonight. Memphis should have won game 1.

Sadly it's over...It really is sad because I would of liked to have seen a Lebron V KD rivalry for the next few years kind of like Manning v Brady

Most likely, I certainly wouldn't place any bets on OKC making it to the WCF; but as I said we'll see, far stranger things have happened in the playoffs.
Honestly I'm not too bummed since without Westbrook KD would have a hard time fighting against LeBron whose backed up by Wade and Bosh; next year will be far more interesting in my opinion.

Spurfan celebrating because OKC is done :lmao
You guys could have a legit chance against the Thunder without Westbrook and Harden. On the other hand, dem bears are gonna tear the spurs a new one :lmao

Yeah I agree, Memphis is a much more serious threat than OKC at this point. I understand Spurs fans want HCA but trust me playing against OKC without the fashionable chimp is much better and sweeter revenge than losing to Memphis grizz

Personally, Spurs ceiling was West Finals when the season started. If they get that far, mission accomplished. Anything after that is gravy. Spurs have to finish off the Dubs first (not a given), but both OKC (even without westchuck) and Memphis present matchup problems for us. Arguably, the best Parker stopper is actually Sefolosha, not Tony Allen. In that sense, Grizzlies would be more beneficial for us, but it's still a heck of a team.

i think grizz will take the spurs in 5 IMHO. the play good defense man, and the combo of Zbo and Gastrong will be too much for SA to handle.

Memphis might play the Spurs with a sense of revenge on their mind. I mean you could say they are playing the Thunder like that. Eddie Winslow said tonight that he was thinking about 2011 when the game went into overtime.

We have the bodies to throw at them... Conley is arguably the head of the snake, but TP could make him work hard on defense. It's tough for us against OKC too. Our best bigs are not mobile to chase around Ibaka, and we have zero answers for Durant. A slower pace would also favor the Spurs older players, and that's how Memphis likes to play.

If the Spurs make it to the WCFs, playing Memphis >>>> playing OKC with Westbrook, which was the original, predicted roadblock to the Finals..

Honestly Ibaka is not something i would even be worried about, monkeyscrub is what he is. I would think if spurs just focused their D around KD sort of like Memphis is doing, they would run rings around OKC.. They have no one else to create shots, kevin martin is not going to get it done. I dont think it has anything to do with the pace tbh, you guys are playing one of the youngest/fastest teams in the NBA and its 2-2..

Only dummies are celebrating a Thunder series loss.
Thunder are the desired team we spurfan would most want. Even without Westbrook Spurs can hang with Thunder.
I also agreed that Grizzlies will dominate Spurs.

I don't understand the need to belittle each other; the Western Conference is full of strong dominate teams, these playoffs show it.

they don't even defend each other. safalosha(sp?) defends lebron and battier defends durant. nothing like an hakeem/robinson or shaq/mourning matchup.

memphis would be the last team in the west the spurs want to take on in a playoff series. spurs are a better team than two years ago with all those fresh bloods, but they would still struggle alot against those fat stacks in the paint and those scrappy perimeter defenders imho.
