Why are the odds 2-1 for Ortiz???
There are 8 guys in it, the odds suck.

I didn't make the odds. That's what they are on a betting site.

Yeah riiiiight....nobody that knows baseball would have chosen a rookie who does not hit a lot of HRs to win this thing. Bobby won because his pitcher threw perfectly to him almost every time....

Ortiz needs to get someone that pitches where he wants it. Last year, he had the same problem.

Jim, by your logic, the only people anybody should have picked to win would have been Pudge and Big Papi.

Miguel Tejada won in his first year last season.

Garrett Anderson won in his first year in 2003.

Luis Gonzales won in his first year in 2001.

Tino Martinez won in his first year in 1997.

Juan Gonzales won in his first year in 1993.

Eric Davis & Ruben Sierra won in their first year in 1989.

Andre Dawson won in his first year in 1987.

-----

Bobby is a left-handed stick (and even then, being a left-handed stick only meant you had one of two spots in the second round).

Bobby kicked ass and I'm pissed since I fought between him and Carlos Lee in my pick.

Whats up with SA people not giving props to Detroit athletes?

It was his home park and home crowd, you knew he was going to do well. I knew he would atleast make it to the second round.

He's on my fantasy team, that would've been enough for me..

and Bobby won because he is a good left handed hitter apparently.

I'd have rather seen tejada or manram in place of Pudge, and Pujols or Dunn in place of Choi.

Those would have been much better Choices.

If anything, people in San Antonio might be a group of baseball fans that would give a lot of love to Pudge, especially with the number of Rangers fans around here.

Did you realize it was an international theme?

I am saying the international thing was moronic, did you realize that?

The International thing was just a way to promote the new Baseball World Cup, or whatever they are calling it. I would of liked to see the top 4 home run hitters from each league there, but it was nice to see a hometown player to better than expected. I was just glad that there were no steroid users in the field to ruin the derby.
