Too quick of a turnaround again. I guess if the series does go to game 7, a potential game one would be Tuesday. That is not good, my friends.

That's over 48 hours off either way. Plus we will be at home. Not a big deal.

Spurs have to find their second gear....If we play Memphis, it is going to be exhausting. Pop has to have players step up - Neal, Bonner, Diaw, Joseph, hell even de Colo....etc. Pop has played his entire roster over the last few years and now is when they have to contribute. An all Parker or Duncan contribution wont work. Hollins goes 11 deep with the Griz. SPurs have been doing that for a while. I would like to see more Baynes, as Memphis is a physical, large, team that is more methodical on offense. Got to beat GS first though.

Thanks God the Spurs have homecourt advantage against Memphis. I can still remember the series in 2008. That was so frustrating they lost to a well-rested Lakers.

The Spurs started with a remarkable playoff game against the Sun (Shaq & Nash), with a classic game in 2OT. Michael Finley made a game-tying 3ptr, Tim Duncan scored 40 points, including 3-pt field goal to force a second overtime, and Manu Ginóbili clinched victory with 1.8 seconds left to win the series 4-1.

The road to championship video that year could have been a classic one. TD vs KG in the finals.
But all are wasted when they played against the Lakers, so tired, day after winning vs New Orleans in 7 games & plane trouble(?)

Spurs must win this series in 6 to rest before facing Memphis. Or it might happen again.

Ironically if they win tonight they will have 2 days rest but if it goes 7 they may have 3 days. I'd rather not risk a Game 7 though. No need to play unnecessary games considering we already gave one away.

the way i see it (as always, correct me if im wrong please)

spurs win in 6:

pros: don't face a best of 1 game 7 against a hot shooting team like the warriors, only allows 4 days rest for the grizz

cons: only get 2 days rest before an afternoon game 1 sun against the grizz

spurs win in 7:

pros: spurs still get about 2 days rest before an evening game 1 tue against the grizz but grizz could get rusty with 6 days rest

cons: grizz get 6 days rest, spurs face best of 1 against the warriors to deal with first that won't be easy to win

-would you risk a game 7 against the warriors to give the spurs maybe half a day more of rest, even if it means giving the grizz 6 days rest instead of 4? spurs gotta go for the death knell and win the WCSF in 6 tonight.

No. Obviously, when you get the chance to end a series you do so.
