(http://twitter.com/JMcDonald_SAEN)Storyline for next round: Leonard's knee. It's bothering him and mild cause for concern.

Hopefully just the normal tendonitis he has had and from chasing Klay around all series

I just posted this in the Game thread after I saw the tweet by McDonald. Hopefully these two days of rest does him a little good and he gets treatment...

This isn't anything new. Kawhi said it won't get better until the offseason.

It's no surprise when he went from one of the team's top free throw shooters to one of the worst.

And this is why I'm not confident about the Memphis series. The Spurs are entering the series hobbled and tired.

Hopefully the 2 days off help.

What if it was just a casual conversation of "Hey Kawhi, how's the knee feeling" kind of thing. Sometimes media can overblow things...

Been saying this for a while, whenever he comes down on that knee he always has a grimace on his face. He won't be healthy until the off season. That knee affects his shooting which is why he's been struggling lately.

Plus, if Kawhi's knee was REALLY bad, I highly doubt he would've been able to chase around Thompson all series and also throw down that explosive dunk tonight...

Just think of how good this guy will be when he's healthy next year.

Hes young. No concern at all with duncan limping, parker ina iron lung and manu crawling like a bug

lmfao oh for christ sakes. Unless he did something at the end of the game, its the same injury hes had all year long. Also, he looked pretty damn explosive and good tonight.

2 days of treatment, off the feet. McDonald said something to look at but not to be freaked out by.

Kawhi is the least of my concerns going into this series.

Saw no grimace nor straining after those threes made and dunk in the 4th quarter.........

If he plays the corpse of Tayshaun Prince to a standstill, that's good enough for me.

BTW, Fuck Jack. It would be nice to have the insurance policy, especially this series where you could give him a vacation on Prince and let Kawhi get some rest. Such is life.

YES, but Next year is too late! This team a year older next year! I wish he was healthy now :( Oh well Wade is banbed up too etc. This is the playoffs, most are not healthy at this point.

Damn, I feel like he'll be fine for the playoffs. Hopefully he strengthens it and it isn't an issue as his career progresses.

It doesn't seem to affect his athleticism fortunately.

My only concern, is if he aggravates it more or tweaks it. If it's weak now, something might happen. He seems to be playing great with the condition it's in now...let's just hope nothing happens to worsen it.

Probably needs it scoped during off season.

TMac... better cram hard to learn Grizzlies tendencies.

But seriuosly, it's only a slight cause for concern. His running gait looks normal. It doesn't seem as if he's compensating for anything.

he's obviously made it this far, but can we manage it til the end of the season? what happens if he has to play heavy minutes against Lebron, if that were to happen, would it pose a risk or just something that he'll have to play through?

really hoping this is overblown by the media or not a serious issue.

If he goes and gets an MRI then I will worry. Pop is damn conservative when it comes to playing guys injured so I am not too concerened until he is gimp and/or missing games.

That is why I as wanting McGrady to get some playing time cause Kawhi needs to get some breathing time every once in a awhile. Please don't tell me that Neal will be the man to do this cause his butt is going to be sore from hitting the ground all the time against these big guys.

Hobbled and tired applies to every team. The Grizzlies didn't just beat a HS team. The X factor and our advantage is having Pop sitting on the bench. He KNOWS every Spur and, like he did with Timmy on Thursday, he won't let fatigue determine the outcome. He's got plenty of rested players on the bench. Would another coach have taken Kobie, Lebron, or Durant out? Yeah, I know, Kobie just wouldn't come out.
