Hubie Brown's "there you gooo"

or

Mark Jackson repeating every sentence twice

I loved the series but man.... have these 2 got on my nerves. Yes... so much I had to create a thread after a long long time! :ihit:toast

Dick Stockton and Hubie Brown going brain dead mid sentence.

Also funny little tidbit:

Hubie called Ginobili "Manano"

Stock calld him "Manu Jones"

Me and hubby are now referring to our dear Argentinian player as Manano Jones.

Those didn't annoy me, but these are what did:

1. People making excuses for the Warriors, then not applying reasoning when it came to the Spurs.

2. ESPN mentioning Curry's ankle every other sentence, but mentioning Parker's injury only like 3 times.

3. Klay Thompson's nose.

I hated this entire series:

- Warriors play the games of their lives in the first 2, hitting fluke shots after fluke shots.
- All the media start sucking them off.
- Warriors cool off, media rides the excuse train and blames it on the injuries.
- Decibel meter, wtf?
- Mark Jackson auditioning for a pastor job instead of coaching. And the media acting like he's actually a good coach.
- Spurs going soft in game 4.
- Only series in the conference semis where games are every other day.
- When the Spurs win the series, it's all about how GS was injured, how they got tired, what's next for them, etc.

They should've shown the decibel meter in the closing seconds of last night's game, that would have been classic.

Curry when he went left handed and right handed and did his little "my hands are an act of God I cannot control my ability! I have great power in these possessed hands!" Oh and the fact in two games when Parker stunk they kept going to him. Luckily he hit those three`s when it counted. Manu needs to stop shooting threes and drive and kick.

Hubie Brown by far. Every time the Warriors didn't get a ticky tack call, he got furious and started to bash the refs. Meanwhile he vehemently defended terrible calls (including phantom fouls) that were in favor of the Warriors.

It sounded like I was listening to a home broadcast for the Warriors every single time he was talking. He managed to get into my "bottom 3 worst announcers" list along with that faggot ex player from Boston who is still the undisputed king of worst announcer.

pretty much this.

I'm a fan of Hubie but he was horrible this series because of his biased takes. He was like some old cheerleader for the Warriors with his "there you go".

Sound meter was horrible too. as mentioned above, they should've shown it at the 3 pointer Tony took, just to see it plummeting. It would have been worth it then.

Also, agree with DapDaGenius' take on Klay's nose. He was bothering me all game, he looks like a light skinned Klingon out there. It's not his fault, but maybe just the media was making me pissed about other things this series.

Well, they'll be on TV on Sunday talking about what's next for the Spurs. Winning is always the best revenge. :lol

And if we can beat Memphis, we'll have plenty of time to get sold as scrappy underdogs. It's possible we'll even be sentimental favorites facing off against the Heat juggernaut in the media narrative.

- National media love for GSW, their being annointed as the new league darlings.
- Mark Jackson's chubby stupid face and his stupid wife's national anthem antics.
- Warriors bench.
- "give them credit" fuck that the Spurs beat you.
- Game 5 loss.
- Manu's inconsistent play.

I don't know why anyone was upset with the dezibel meter!

I really had to laugh every time they showed it, because it jumped from 100 to 110 and back again to 100. That shows it was broken or a cheap ass dezibel meter. You know, the scale is logarythmic, meaning that about 2 dezibel more is as much as twice as loud...110 dezibel = 2 x 108 db = 4 x 106 db = 8x 104 db = 16 x 102 db = 32 x 100db from one second to another and back again to 1x 100db. :)

And why can't they implement it into a graphic, rather opting to just film it?
They had a dezibel meter for the Sonics home games back in the '96 Finals vs. the Bulls and it didn't look better in 2013.

For the love of God all the moving screens. Every other possession there was a blatant screen where the guy would set it and then as soon as his man went by take two steps away from the basket and act like it was the Spurs player "pushing" him.

How on earth they got away with blatant offensive fouls the entire series, still makes me mad when I went back to watch game 6 over again.

other than that, love how bogut and jack's faces always look like they are on a toilet seat suffering from diarrhea

Anytime you play a team 6 times you're gonna get tired of em. Nothing bothered me too badly, but it seemed like every time there was a bad call against the Warriors, they showed a thousand replays and the announcers would take about what a terrible call it was as the crowd did their ":cry refs you suck! :cry" chant. Any tine there was a possible questionable call against the Spurs, nobody said anything, no replays, just ignore it.

The lack of energy most of the SA fans bring to a game combined with handing out cheap car flags instead of shirts for fans to wear.

If we are bringing car flags back we might as well be playing Spurs version of Wild Wild West

It's a Radio Shack decibel meter, which is the standard pretty much everywhere for the last 30 years or more. It changes based upon the way it's set, and it was a stupid idea mainly because Oakland isn't that great an arena and the fans had almost nothing to cheer about for the time the Spurs were there. You're right that they'd do better with a graphic like they show in the stadiums to get people to yell louder.
