Why Team USA struggles in last competitions such as Olimpycs games in Athens 2004 and World Championship in 2002?
What are the adjustements in order to win international competitions under FIBA Rules?

PUt a team and not a bunch of good players.

I have heard always that if someone went instead of other things would have changed. That's not true.

You have to make a team.

List of players 2002-2004: Ben Wallace, TIm Duncan, J'O Neal, Paul Pierce, Mike FInley, Reggie Miller, Shawn Marion, Amare Stodemire, Le Bron James, Dwane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Baron Davis, Lamar Odom, S. Marbury and the list goes and goes.

YOu have to have a team.

They also struggled in the 2000 Olympics, where Lithuania was one shot away from knocking out the US in semi-finals.

It is a simple question which has a long answer. I don't have the time, but I will answer it later, now I'm busy and have to go.

I think a starting five of Iverson, Wade, James, Duncan and Stoudemire would kill a lot of teams, provided they learn to work as a unit.

But the problem is that some players (e.g. KG, Shaq, etc) are so busy pissing their pants that they would rather have their summer holidays than represent their country in these tournaments. Maybe the other countries, like Argentina and Serbia & Montenegro, just want those titles more than the USA

I blame Larry Brown for the olympics, He played marbury and iverson wayyyyy to much, instead of Wade and Lebron, and Amare should have gotten more playing time too. But larry wanted to play veterans instead of who was best suited.

A Michael Redd and/or Ray Allen on the 2004 Olympic team woulda meant a sure Gold. Or even a Reggie Miller.
