In a league dominated by superstars, the San Antonio Spurs built the most mundane of dynasties. There was never any question that Tim Duncan belonged on the short list of greatest power forwards in N.B.A. history, or that Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili were fantastic players, but the team was seemingly easy to forget in a world of Kobe Bryants and LeBron Jameses.
