Pop needs to activate Baynes for this series. We need all the help from our bigs to battle ZBo and Gasol. No softies allowed !

5-6 minutes Baynes for some rest for the other bigs and NO Turd Towers is a no-brainer

Use him to foul, nothing more

He'd be better than Bonner at this point in time tbh.

We need Baynes for every series, tbh. :lol

He won't play and T Mac will not play no matter how you guys say we need them in here! They are not in the cards, sorry folks.

Buncha HHs in this thread tbh

'cept my girl Leggy; she knows whats up.

Of course, what's ironic here is that the same people who are shitting on Baynes will be the ones bitching in the game threads whenever Bonner/Blair are on the court. Now, I'm not saying Baynes will be any kind of difference maker, and of course I recognize that it's very very likely he won't play at all, but it would be fun as hell to watch him bang with Zbo and Fat Gasol for 5-8 minutes a game. That's all I'm sayin'.

hell yes!!!
Spurs just need to be down 0-2 ,having both Duncan and splitter injured ,with Bonner in full trouble

Would make sense to have him active for this series, but doubt he'll see the floor often. Hopefully he's not needed though.

I'm wondering why a guy that has looked raw but decent in limited time is considered to be a poor player by a number of the more egregious semi-trolls on the forum? That said due to the rawness and semi-questionable hands at the moment, I would consider him to be more of a situational banger without a lot of offense, than the panacea to all ills that some on here seem to as well.

Personally what irks me is what Ian Mahinami has turned into after his time with the Mavs and his time spent with the bulls this year he seems to have become the fairly athletic back-up big that we have wanted/needed. I find it hard to believe that under decent tutelage from DRob, Duncan and the spurs coaching staff that having been given Blairs opportunities that things would not have turned out well for him and them.

Baynes to get 8 minutes, 6 Points, 5 Boards, 4 Fouls, and 150 pictures taken by females in the arena.

Exactly! Some spot up minutes to wear down their bigs.

Question is, Would you rather see "He spread the floor Bonner" bang bodies against their bigs or see Baynes on spot up minutes?

I would agree with the OP if either Zbo or Gasol sucked at free throws

He did good against Dwight.. He should get at least 8-10 minutes a game against Memphis. If he's really that uncomfortable on the court, take him out. I just dread seeing Bonner and Splitter getting abused this series.

At least Baynes should get to sport a jersey (not like vs. GS).

Other than that I doubt he will play any meaningfull minutes. Especially Bonner will get his chance and I agree that he (+Diaw) may be to key to the series (if he can hold his own vs. ZBo and hits some 3s).

And yes, that scares me too!

I wish he and/or TMac could play some minutes here and there, especially in this series, but I've pretty much given up hope that its going to happen without injuries. And fuck that.

Sorry I don't see Baynes playing, even if a big was injured it would just be more Bonner/Blair

They said the same thing about Splitter before he got a chance to play. "He's not better than Bonner/Blair." Even now they say he's not averaging 20 and 10 so they were justified before.

I hope so. I'm not advocating regular minutes, but the simple fact that he's active means Pop will have options if/when Bonner or Blair wet the bed. He's clearly the best defensive option after Diaw off the bench, so maybe he gets burn for that reason alone.

I didn't see him in the layup drills...hoping u guys r right though...would be stupid to leave him in street clothes, even if he doesn't play a min, in the series..

Suit up Tmac instead? Unless kawhis knee really is a concern, I don't get it....can u activate a player mid series? Or is it, once it's set..its set(for the series)?

We won't lose the series because of Baynes or T Mac, they would be an added luxury but they won't make or break the series IMO. Pop is stubborn though! He has done a good job as of late with rotations I will add.
