View Full Version : Calling it Right Now Spurs Will Win 6 More - Lose 3 or Less On Way to Title

Rummpd

Spurs despite all the naysayers showing resiliency, mental toughness re overcoming the screwed up calll last night that gifted OT and remain under-appreciated and under ranked by many as legit threat to not only close out Grizz in 5 or less games; but then to rest and use their superior depth, collective championship mettle of the big three and Pop and Will knock off Miami or Pacers (if they can overcome long odds to take out Heat).

Spurs at times still play the type of ball that led to their 20 win streak last year to get to a similiar 2-0 lead in the WCF but now are taller inside and led by the best big and PG left in the playoffs + the verve of Manu and that type of "all in"" mix of veterans and youth that won 4 previous championships. Bring it on doubters and raise the expecations!

6 wins, 2 losses in the finals... unless it's the pacers which will make it a sweep the rest of the way. :lobt2::lobt2::lobt2::lobt2::lobt2:

Eh, Spurs should be able to win the WCF. But they haven't had to face any team even close to Miami's level.

It would be so nice if you were right. BUT...I don't really think that anyone is going to beat Miami this year, including Indiana, us or Memphis.

But it would be nice to have a shot at 'em. :toast

We can beat the Heat tbh, they're very weak inside and the Heat playing no competition in the playoffs won't bode well for them it will be Damn hard but its possible. Let's get past the Grizz first.

It won't disprove anything I said. Even if Heat wins it all, which most likely they would, they are still not a lock tbh fwiw. And yes Spurs still has a long way to go to finish WCF, didn't say the otherwise either.

Usually I'm at least half-joking when I talk NBA conspiracies, but Stern has to be shitting himself at the prospect of a Spurs/Pacers final, let alone an even worse Memphis/Indy final. Talk about low ratings.

Poor Pacers. If anything, that should be the proof that Stern isn't calling the shots on the shitty officiating last night - he has to want SA over MEM. More viewers and more backstory to trade on with SA.

Have to go the timvp way here.

Even though I never doubt we will beat Memphis (still fine with my original 4:0 pick), I don't see us beating Miami.

I mean, how can we beat them?
Timmy can't do anything vs. Bosh in the post.
We don't have the big agile wingdefender you need against LeBron.
We are way to slow on transition defense.
We don't have an elite defender chasing Wade.
Tony can't do anything against Mike Conley so he will be invisible vs. Chalmers and Co.
Their physicality will kill us.

Uh wait...

Wow those Miami Heat were surely so very impressive actually playing a decent team that won all of 50 games in the regular season - we should give up hope after both Bulls and Pacers showing Heat can be tested....

Spurs on tract and Heat showing vulnerability-as great (all world) as LeBron is the rest of the team is deferring too much-ball always in LBJ's hands now.

Spurs have a tough game tonight but will win 2 of 3 and get rest before the finals-if they get tonight would be a plus and a sweep (unlikely) would be a God send for Parker etc.

Neal is the type of player who when hot can win a game against anyone due to his lack of fear - just wished he was a little bit more like Green defensively
