Well, driving around town the last couple of days I've seen a random spray painting of Ron Burgandy, and another one of Brick on a totally different side of town. Just wondering if anyone else has seen any of these?

I'm an Anchorman fan but haven't seen these around.

One of my favorite lines in the movie is: "It smells like Big Foot's dick!"

:lol

I love Anchorman. Brick is the funniest fucking guy ever in that movie. You can't pick a single one of his lines and not laugh.

"Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diago, which of course in German means a whale's vagina."

Ron Burgandy is one of the greatest cinematic characters ever created. God bless Ron Burgandy, Brian Fantana, Champ Kind, and Brick Tamland. God bless them all.

I don't really understand the popularity of Will Ferrel. I don't think he's funny...just stupid.

Yeah, saw this for the first time on cable, and it nearly put me to sleep. Typical SNL skit-to-movie stuff. I just don't think Ferrell is that funny, either.

I also got a sneaking suspicion I'm not gonna like Napoleon Dynamite, either.

Anchorman was a funny ass movie and i don't really watch many of Ferrel's movies.

Brick is the funniest one.

Not one of Will's best works but funny enough. Brick steals every scene he's in though and helps make the movie. And I am dying to get my hands on some of that Sex Panther cologne.

"Sixty percent of the time, it works...everytime."

"It's made with bits of real panther. So you know it works."

his other options for cologne were "Blackbeards Delight" or "London Gentleman"

Eventhough I think this is one of the funniest comedies to come out in recent memory, I can understand why people think it is not funny at all. I guess it's just geared toward people with a certain kind of sense of humor. People live and die by the Austin Powers movies, but personally, I think they are ridiculous. Different people, different sense of humors.

I love lamp! I love lamp.

I too can understand if someone doesn't like Ferrell's act, but I think it is great. Anchorman is good, not great, but is very quotable. Not as good as Old School though.

Notorious H.O.P.

Old School, now you're talking!

I love Will Ferrell movies in general because you have to like people that don't take themselves too seriously. Obviously this helps if you're a comedian but not all comedians can do this with and seem as genuine as Will. Some people would argue that my taste in movies is questionable considering I prefer movies in the Ferrell, Sandler, Farley vein. That doesn't mean that I don't take the occasional trip to the Bijou but I just want to watch mindless drivel sometimes and get the cheap laugh. The movies these guys make fit the bill. And quotability goes a long way with me.

"What's that smell?"
"That's the smell of desire my lady."
"No, it smells like a baby diaper filled with Indian food."
"Desire smells like that to some people."

"I have to be honest with you Brian. That smells like pure gasoline."

"I have no idea where he would have gotten ahold of German pornography. But you and I are mature adults; we've both seen our share of pornographic materials. Oh, you never have? Of course you haven't, how stupid of me. Neither have I. I was just speaking in generalities. Right. I'll stop by the school a little later, Sister Margaret. Bye."

Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart!

I saw that! Brick killed a guy! Did you throw a trident?

Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident!

Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
gonna grab some afternoon delight.
My motto's always been; when it's right, it's right.
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night.
When everything's a little clearer in the light of day.
And you know the night is always gonna be there any way.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite
looking forward to a little afternoon delight.
Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
and the thought of rubbin' you is getting so exciting.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Started out this morning feeling so polite
I always though a fish could not be caught who wouldn't bite
But you've got some bait a waitin' and I think I might try nibbling
a little afternoon delight.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Please be waiting for me baby when I come around.
We could make a lot of lovin' 'for the sun goes down.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Just picked up the Rich Mahogany Special Edition Blu Ray. Tons of extras and special features, including an entirely new 90 minute movie called Wake Up, Ron Burgandy with scenes they shot but didn't use in the original.

Not quite as funny as the original, but still funnier than 90% of recent comedies. And since Paramount turned down the sequel, I guess it's as close as we'll get to more Anchorman...

The part in Wake Up, Ron Burgundy where Champ tells Ron in the car with Brian and Brick that he loves him was hilarious. That whole bit went for like at least 5 minutes. Funny shite.

That was ridiculous. My favorite part was when they wanted to eat Champ (or was it Brick?) because they were too far out in the wilderness without food, and then you see the Burger King street sign right in the background. :lol

They were going to eat Brian because he hurt his foot. Overall, Anchorman on Blu Ray has to be a buy.

Same here, first saw it but didn't get the humor. Now it's a classic in my mind and I watch it all the time. The news station fight has to be the most epic scene in a comedy.
