Really solid podcast. They talk about Kawhi a lot and also discuss getting blasted on twitter by random fans :lol

Start at the 19 minute mark:

Heard this earlier, obviously talking about some posters here who have an irrational hate for analysts who don't pick us.

You're so cool and self-aware. :cry

Thanks Amuse, gonna check it out now. I generally enjoy Simmons' takes; writers typically go into sports because it's easy and they're not very good writers, but as long as Simmons isn't on TV and making laughably bad picks, he's typically better than the average sports writer.

It's certainly not perfect, but I really liked it. Unless you're older than dirt, you can learn a ton about the history of the NBA from it.

And personally, Zach Lowe is one of my three favorite national basketball writers (along with Kevin Arnovitz and Mike Prada). Even if I don't always agree with his forecasts, I find his game analysis and play breakdowns really informative.

20 minutes into the podcast and Simmons blurts out this doozie:

"I think the Spurs are gonna win the series now because they stole that second game"

Are you kidding me...what game was he watching? Since when is 'stole' synonymous with 'didn't give away'.

I had the same reaction. If you're going to say that the Spurs stole Game 1 of the Warriors series, you can't say that the Spurs stole this one.

That's exactly why Spurfans are getting annoyed with Simmons. It isn't that he picks against them, it's his hilariously over the top deluded logic that he can't possibly have been wrong and must make every excuse possible at every turn to explain why his perceptions have been so innaccurate.

He probably thinks the Spurs were "on the ropes" in both of the first two games and barely squeaked by each time with extreme luck right at the end. Apparently not realizing the Spurs have led the series practically wire to wire so far. And with a long period of time being up by double figs.

This is what I've been saying all along. It's not impossible that the Grizzlies will win 4 out of next 5 to prove Simmons 'right' for his prediction result. But even so, those logic and thinking he is using still exposes his so-called "objectivity".

These guys are just bamboozled about how the Spurs are winning the series, but even Simmons is admitting that the 4th quarter was more the Spurs getting tired than the Grizz solving them.
