It'll probably be about outlawing Sharia Law or some other stupid bullshit.

Not sure but my guess is it will limit freedom rather than expand or protect it.

It'll get rid of the minimum wage and legalize indentured servitude.

It'll repeal the requirement that Congress must formally declare war, imho.....

This is the most likely answer, that or some form of "balanced budget" amendment.

Repugs will propose a shitty, extreme amendment because they are Repugs, but it won't get out of Congress and won't ever be ratifed by 3/4 of the states.

Of course, that's why I ask what will the next one actually be. (not the next proposed one)

I hope it's something to do with legal entities and political participation.

That is what I would like to see. It takes a lot of state legislatures to get an amendment through so it would take some serious geopolitical alignment to do anything at all.

What should happen: Corporations and unions banned from donating money to politicians, public financing only for elections

What will probably happen: Some mechanism to enhance law enforcement / military powers at the cost of civil liberties

I think with the momentum of gay marriage going, that something related to gay rights would be fitting. It would clearly not get 100% of state ratifications, but it could reach the threshold if enough of a push were made.

I'd put my money on it being about marriage of the gay persuasion.

Is there a C amendment to make gay marriage legal?

if so, the "Christian" haters will vote against it, a total waste of time, but that's what you get from the retrograde, obstructionist Repugs and their "Christian" haters imposing their fucked up morals on everybody else.

I don't think the amendment would pass if it singled out gay marriage. It would probably have to be an amendment about marriage in general which defines marriage. The actual definition is anyone's guess.

It would be an adjustment to the power of state governments. State and local governments currently wield too much authority to remove the rights of individuals. Some states ban guns, some do not. Some states ban gay marriages, some do not. The amendment will be to create a 1st Amendment style broad statement for human rights that states governments cannot usurp.

There could also be one to lock down the existing rights that they cannot be altered. Then again that would be self defeating to say we cannot alter the BoR because the BoR says so.

"broad statement for human rights"

human rights don't exist, are pure myth.

The only rights, freedoms, liberties, anyone has are those granted and enforced by the govt.
