Didn't see a game thread...starts in an hour. How will the refs win the game for the heat? INB4 statistically they shoot very few free throws.

I look for the refs to throw either West or Hibbert into early foul trouble. If George comes out strong then he may get tagged with 2 early fouls also.

I've said this in another thread, but the problem defending Lebron is that he can dribble the ball ones, make 3 steps and a make layup, all this by starting behind the 3pt line. He is too strong and quick and tall enough to lay it in.

I wouldn't double, I'd try to play physical with him in the post until he gets annoyed, and I'd stop giving looks to Haslem and Birdman and the role players, tbh..

Paul George needs to man up..he's skinny, he's like 6'10", but it's not like he has Durant's body..he was bestowed after game 2, he's not living up to the hype in game 3(as expected, but still)..

Lebron will go for 50 on 90% shooting if you let him go 1-on-1 against Paul George in the post all game long. Lebron has 50lbs on him, George can't do anything.

Double from the weak side and rely on defensive rotations. It's all you can do.

Disagree. The Thunder are much more of a jump shooting team than the Heat. We struggle against teams like Golden State who are stacked with shooters. If LeBron and Wade live by the jump shot, spurs win. They aren't a great jump shooting team

That's true. In addition to how many FTA Indiana gets, Hibbert gets away with more non-calls than I've ever seen. He'll completely maul someone who's taking it to the hole, the ref won't call anything, and then Reggie Miller jacks off to his "physical defense!" They also commit a loose ball foul on half the rebounds they get.

Is it too much to hope for a 2004 Pistons vs. Lakers type of NBA Finals? Where the underdog Pistons not just defeated, but crushed the favored Lakers?

Hoping to see the Spurs crush the Heat?

Not likely....that year, Kobe was undergoing the infamous assault case and there was no way Stern would let a possible rapist win an NBA title. He knew the scrutiny he would go under. It was obvious to most fans the officiating was heavily favored against the already depleted Lakers roster, it was a perfect formula of watching Kobe and Shaq embarassed on the national stage.

The Pistons won, the NBA made its money off the Lakers as long as they're in the finals, and once everyone forgot bout Kobe's case they allowed him back on the big stage to win again.

Right now, the NBA is HEAVILY invested in Lebron winning. It would really hurt the NBA if Lebron lost this year, they are trying very hard to manufacture him as the guy who will 'surpass Jordan.'
