View Full Version : Your Single-Game Choice for '05-'06? Spurs vs. ?

For those of you that pick single-game tickets which game(s) would you want to attend at the SBC center more than any other in '05-'06?

Or if you could attend one game of Spurs vs. ? who would it be?

It's a lot of :bling to attend one of these games (which I plan to this year) and I'm always thinking I want a "guaranteed win" for my :bling. I have come to the conclusion that the game I really want to see in person this year is *drum roll* the Spurs vs. Nuggets. There's something about booing Karl, Melo and the first-hand viewing of the potential physicality that could be this game. Seeing Manu go off on them again would also be a treat. There is a bigger danger than other games that the Spurs could lose, but if they win it's just sweeter to see in person.

I would find it difficult to see the Pistons because of their bigger potential win factor, the Heat because I couldn't stand to be held captive in the stands and watch Shaq win, and the Sonics are just too whiney to watch. The Suns would be my second game choice (scary as they are.) Yours?

Suns, of course. In fact i plan on catching the Suns/Spurs games this year at AWA. Denver/Houston/Miami would all be good games too. Seattle as well, depending on how they end up this off season.

Spurs vs. Warriors--Baron vs Parker would be a great matchup to see live
Spurs vs. Heat--I'd hold up a sign that said "GO KOBE"
Spurs vs. LA--I'd hold up a sign that said "GO SHAQ"
Spurs vs. Houston--T-mac vs. Bruce would be great to watch live. I'd also love to get a chance to stand next to Yao (I'm 5'5) :)

What I'll end up seeing:
Spurs vs. Sixers--I plan on wearing my Spurs T and hat and holding up a sign that says GO SPURS GO! with a big #9 gliterring.

.....However seeing how the game would be in Philly and I don't particularly want to get booed and/or beat up, I may forgoe the poster :)

Suns and Pistons would be my two top choices if I could arrange to be in SA at the time.

I live in Wyoming though, so I definitely plan to drive down and catch at least one of the Nuggets games in the Pepsi Center.

I've seen Spurs vs. Houston before.. i'm up for more of that.
I'd also like to see Spurs vs. Suns
Spurs vs. Nuggets
and Spurts vs. Lakers.... thats never gonna get old for me.

I'm planning on making it to about 3 or 4 games this coming season.....but it'll be hard breastfeeding while jumping up and down and screaming my head off... I better buy one of those baby slings.

your Poster should say:
"Parker ALL-STAR 2006 !!"
or maybe:
" HEY #9 : I'm better then Eva! Ramada Inn Room 211!!"

I can only watch the Spurs live when they play the Warriors or the Kings.

Whoever they are playing on opening night at the SBC Center; I always try to go on opening night. And, I'd like to see them play the Pistons again, whenever that is. I'm not a big one for rubbing people's faces in it, but I'd like to see Rasheed's face when he comes back to town.

That's what I was wondering. I have not been able to find it anywhere. If there is one, please post a link.

last time I checked we were the best defense....

Anyways...

The best game I watched was the game @ PHX... the double overtime game where Manu got his 48.

Isn't this thread about what games you want to go see in the upcoming season, not the best games of this past season?

So far you've mostly picked playoff-caliber opponents. Aren't any of you worried about spending your bling and Spurs *god forbid* lose?? Their home record will likely not be as good this coming year--stiffer competition.

No safe choices such as the Bobcats? But if they win you would leave the SBC center feeling mighty low. At least if the Spurs lose to the Pistons it's mildly okay. Is that the logic? Or do you just want to see certain match-ups and a better game overall?

What's the fun in watching a game live if it isn't close and a nailbiter? That's what makes it exciting to watch LIVE and in the moment!

Any game you watch in which they lose would suck...whether they play the Bobcats or the Pistons.

Well, it is also fun to see your team dominate another team, provided they are usually a worthy opponent.

I would enjoy seeing Spurs vs Cavaliers. The game could be entertaining while still having a real good chance for the spurs to win.

it was still great to see hte game live and everything, but it was still a pathetic ass whopping. I felt really bad for the Hornets.. it was a massacre

Screw seeing good teams, I want to see:

Spurs vs. Atlanta...Boris Diaw

Spurs vs. Lakers...Ronny Turiaf

Spurs vs. NY...MALIKILIKI! :(

Spurs vs. Orlando...HEDO! :(

Yeah, I'm a nut. Get over it.

Heck, i would settle for Spurs vs anyone! Considering the chances of me seeing an nba game in person ever, are about a zillion to one - unless i decide to visit america, and happen to be able to buy a ticket at the same time that the spurs are playing, which is highly unlikely - and further factoring my wife...

but, if i could go, then i would choose Spurs v Pheonix - because those games for the next couple of years are going to be very competitive - the new LA v SA maybe?
