Tecnically everyone was wrong bout them Spurs.

I had the Spurs as the best in the west and going to the Finals all season.

Last year I was wrong, since they didn't make the Finals (had them making it but losing). But this year I was right I also picked Spurs sweeping the Lakers, beating the Warriors in 6, but I had Spurs in 5 over Grizz and it ended in 4. Only thing I was wrong about regarding Spurs tbh, and I was wrong in a good way. :D

Old man wasn't wrong for not believing in the cucks tbh but then the achilles and meniscus happened which completely changed the playoff picture, even if spurfan says that wouldn't change the outcome.

This is a one in a million type season with multiple injured stars, that type of shit probably won't happen again anytime soon but in the end somebody had to take advantage of the situation.

You say a Volvo? Pfff Why you say it as if it's supposed to send a tingle down my penis? If I don't feel it, surely women won't get moist either.

There are American muscles that are sedans too. Get with it.

apart from the finals (which the spurs are definitely losing), spurs fans of this season are just like them 10-11 mavs fans tbh. they had little faith in their team and they all turned out to be wrong in June (except ghazi and stretch though)

I picked Spurs in 5 first, but then promptly changed it to a sweep when I saw how gawdawful The Grizzlies' offense was... especially after what The Spurs went through during The GS series. :wow ... DMC 'hinted' that my head was too far up in the semen clouds per usual. :lol

Because you don't know the difference between a Daewoo and a Volvo, and you don't know what a muscle car is. That pretty much means all of your car takes are douchebag opinions.

A muscle car is a coupe. You can buy into the hoodrat marketing shit all you like, it's not a muscle car if it's a sedan.

part of the game. nobody remembers 2009 as "the year ginobili missed the playoffs." instead, its the year the Kobe won his first ring without shaq. is 2000 the year timmy missed the playoffs? or the first of the Lakers 3peat. Injuries blow, and they alter the landscape of things, but it happens pretty much every year.

Not just Ginobili but Yao, Jameer Nelson, and KG were all out as well. No way Lakers get past the Cs that year with a healthy 2nd PF GOAT imo. Like you said though, the record books dont remember that so its all moot.

I dont think any of us wouldve called this in 2010 for example. Spurs have been a dominant team for two years...a couple possessions in our favor last year and we beat a healthy OKC team with Harden. That aint blind faith imo.

Sorry but we were swept last year. We beat the Jazz and the Clippers, one team didn't make it this year and the other was beaten by the team we just swept. I wouldn't say we were poised last year. You don't get swept in a "couple plays here and there" scenario, that's all post game coaches bullshit talk.

This year we got fortunate to meet the Lakers' bench in the 1st round, and to meet GS in the 2nd. GS, still a decent team but let's not kid ourselves, they are a jumpshooting team, nothing else. We drew Memphis because RW went down. Memphis doesn't get past OKC if RW stays healthy. So we beat Memphis. We won't get so fortunate in the Finals.

The planets are in alignment, and they were for the Spurs this season. It won't happen again for quite some time. Fortunately the Spurs keep knocking on the door of opportunity, not waiting for it to come visiting. Once it presents itself, they were ready.

Let's not get all stupid and say they plowed their way through to the finals. They played great against mediocre talent. The best talent was injured, and we pretty much did what we did last season.

Spurs went into the Playoffs with TP nursing an injury, and with Tiago out of the 1st round. No way anyone sees them in the Finals at that point. When Memphis beat the Thunder, along came Lefty and opened the books for you.

Spurs play whoever is put in front of them. They have 4 sweeps the past two seasons, a WCF appearance and now a Finals one. Sure OKC backdoor swept them but they didnt cruise to it, theres wasnt this huge gap between the two teams...and there definitely wasnt one this season either with Beard gone. Theyve bee a Top 3 team the past two seasons, so not sure how thinking they have championship aspirations=blind faith tbh.

The steeple in the NBA tapers drastically around the 2nd or 3rd best team in the league. Below that it's pretty fat. So there can be plenty playoff teams who don't have what it takes to beat the Spurs, but then the Spurs won't have what it takes to beat the Heat and, if they were healthy, probably not the Thunder.

Sure. This year its definitely the Heatles and then everyone else, I never said otherwise. Last year was wide open though and prior to Game 3 in the WCF the Spurs looked like the favorites. All Im saying is when you have a Top 3 team in the league with a strong chance to be in the Finals, its not really blind faith to think they can win it all.
