It sounds really dumb, but I think it is.
1. This is San Antonio's best chance to catch Miami asleep at the switch at home. We need to steal one in Miami and the Heat already dropped their first game against a Chicago team that they pretty much manhandled for the rest of the series.
2. If the Heat win, history will probably start creeping into everyone's minds. The Heat won the Title last year. In addition, in the Spurs' four title runs, they always won game 1.
3. The Heat are more susceptible to being fooled by our mastermind CIA Pop than they will be later in the series. CIA Pop has kept his cards folded in the Spurs' two matches versus the Heat this year. CIA Pop may have some cards up his sleeve that may fool Miami in one game, but once they figure it out, it won't prove to be as advantageous. We need to take advantage of this.
4. Common sense says the Heat's style of play will begin to wear on us as the series progresses. Last year, the Heat started out slow against OKC, then dominated in the later games. Kawhi is going to eventually tire chasing LeBron all over court. Same with Green/Manu versus Wade. If this thing goes to games 6/7, we will have to beat the Heat in Miami. Not sure if we can do that.
