If Miami win the east and since SJax is gone, pop will probably match Kawhi's minutes with Lebron minutes and keep Manu at backup SF.

But Who is the best Lebron defender if Kawhi is in foul trouble?
TMAC ? Manu ? Diaw ? Danny Green ?

Pretty close so far. Pop will have work to do

If TMac gets minutes... we are going to lose...

Which is a probability

Too late to bring Jack back?

I would put Green on Lebron from the start, and let Kiwi guard Wade. The chance of stopping them is higher that way that the other way around, IMO.
Still, I think stopping Bosh is the key. Tiago has to step up, otherwise Bosh is gonna kill him, he is even shooting 3 pointers.

In the regular season, Pop's answer to this question was Manu.

Hopefully Diaw is in the gym right now starting to lose weight; time for Pop to use the Tim, Splitter, Diaw line up he experimented with when Kawhi/SJax were injured.

But that is a tough one, Kawhi is going to have do his research/scouting on LeBron.

I think Diaw started on him during the "restgate" game, and he did about as good a job as you can hope for. I'd go with him

LeBron is from another planet. Guarding him successfully is a tall task.

IMO, the Spurs should focus on guarding everybody else.

Probably Manu or Diaw. Manu did defend him well back in 2007 for spurts.
I donīt think Green can cover LeBron effectivelly.

i say diaw for sure i think is the best combo size/weight/speed/ for this task

Diaw is a big body, could defend him in the post. Not sure about on the perimeter. LeBron would zoom past him.

Tiago and Tim have to be world class defensively. Its going to be about not only the on the ball defender, but Lebron not being allowed to plow to the rim. Tiago and Tim drive that.

Diaw would force him into the midrange jumper and we will live with that I think.

In the regular season, Pop's answer to this question was Manu.

Last game both Manu and Lebron played was March 2011 : http://bkref.com/tiny/U126W

Kawhi was not even drafted, RJ was still there, Manu was 2 years younger
Not sure anything from back then can still aply

I don't know.......BAYNES!!(just kidding). Heck, just put Blair on him and tell him to foul everytime he touches the ball. I don't know how TMac defense is but of the rotation players Diaw would be the only choice with A LOT of help, a player would have to get over there when he starts to dribble and everyone else has to watch for the open man.
