Ironic as hell, when you think about it now.

The Lakers are definitely not a huge disappointment :lol

Didn't he also predict Denver to finish with ~57 wins?

And he gets picked up by Memphis midseason, then helps engineer two trades: Speights/Ellington for Leuer (mediocre trade, given that they lost their best non-Quincy Pondexter 3 point shooter and a big who kills the Spurs with a combination of size and midrange shooting) then Gay for Prince/Daye (pretty decent, though tbh, Gay's at least younger and a wash on defense)

Even Bruce Bowen thought OKC will win it all. :rollin :rollin :rollin

When Harden was traded right before the season started, I thought Spurs would be 50-50 against OKC. And I never trusted an overrated DH and an aged-Nash who both have to watch KB shooting after shooting to bring the Lakers to the top.

I can respect the OKC picks, but the Laker picks....Really? Didn't they learn the last time the Lakers tried to do this with Malone, Payton, Kobe and Shaq. Its about chemistry and players being able to play in the system

Yeah, there's a reason why Hollinger has a front office position, while guys like Chris Broussard can't even decide on a skin color tbh.

Knowing Hollinger and his absolute obsession with being "right", he was probably rooting for the Spurs to win so he could tweet that.

And I ain't even joking :lol

Am I the only one who completely forgot that the Lakers were supposed to be good this year? When I saw the OP, I was like, "Everyone else picked OKC to win?"

I'm glad he's got a sense of humor about it. I sort of figured that as soon as the Spurs clinched their series he was reduced to rocking in the fetal position in the corner and weeping to himself, "It is as the numbers foretold. IT IS AS THE NUMBERS FORETOLD!"
