With the Spurs sweeping the Grizzlies heading into their 5th NBA Finals, this should just be seen as another routine NBA playoffs. The Spurs are not doing anything spectacular, shocking, or surprising. They just went out in three different rounds, played teams they were supposed to beat, and beat them. The Lakers, Warriors, and Grizzlies may have been the easiest road to the Finals ever faced by any NBA team, but we'll take whatever breaks we can get, especially after so many years of other teams getting lucky calls and no-calls to fake their way throughout the playoffs.
Nothing personal against those teams, they just weren't much competition. The Spurs have been the best team in the league the last 16 seasons. I see ESPN now even trying to write a storyline article about the Spurs. The Spurs do not need any media attention, storyline articles, or hype. The Spurs are just doing what they're supposed to do. I see a lot of people asking if the Heat will be the Spurs' biggest challenge ever. The Heat are not in the Finals. To be in the Finals, you have to win 4 games in the conference finals. The Heat have only won 2.
That said, the Heat will not make the Finals and will not win the championship. The Heat have no All-Stars. LeBron James is just a glorified Nick Van Exel. Dwayne Wade is another Vince Carter and Chris Bosh is no more than a Vlade Divac. If the Spurs play the Heat, the Spurs will be the heavy favorites in the series.
