Distasteful? The story of Jesus' crucifixion is a story... and there doesn't seem to be any direct insult considering Kanye is Christian. Right place, right time. Give credit where credit is due. Someone had to be the frontrunner, bringing attention to the genre. It was Tupac. I can point out that Buckethead is a lot more skillful guitarist than Hendrix, but it doesn't change the fact that both Jimi and Shakur are keystones for their respective genres, and revolutionary for their time.
