Pretty much.. Phil did a nice job mixing it up on the feet I thought to keep Machida a little off balance. His wrestling looked bad but it was close. Machida does not commit to enough heavy shots to ever really whine about decisions. He simply doesn't throw enough..

I was annoyed with his fight somewhat tonight but Aldo is already one of the best ever in MMA and he is only 26.. 23-1 with 7 total defenses of his title WEC and UFC combined.. Pretty amazing..

Aldo is merciless, too bad Pettis was too scared to cut weight (injury, schminjury). After Bendo cuts Pettis down, then Aldo needs to come up and get his ass whooping.Mind you, Aldo is the best 145er ever and that is HIS weight class - credit where credit is due. Unlike AS who has always relished in fighting at a lower weight class.Oh well, at least Machida lost tonight - now he won't have a chance to kill Jon Jones's PPV bonuses (cuz no one cares to watch Machida fights).

Machida really needs to take more chances. He supposedly has a good ground game that we never see, I know he has some nice trips and TD's that we used to see but don't anymore. His last couple of fights he just plays his point game with his striking and the judges are simply not impressed.
