A Spurs/Pacers final will have many interesting storylines that the news networks can develop. Here are few:

Spurs/Pacers, former ABA teams
Hill trade to the Pacers
Kawhi Leonard/Paul George, upcoming stars
Duncan/Hibbert, teacher vs student

There are many other plots between these teams that would make for an interesting finals. Yet, as we know, the networks will want to regurgitate the same Lebron/Wade stories that we have been hearing.:rolleyes

* How two teams can reach the NBA finals without having to pay the luxury tax
* Defense wins championships. Regular season No. 1 vs Regular season No. 3 (plus playoffs No 1) in Defensive Rating in the finals
* Why NBA Finals' viewership and TV ratings are the lowest ever since Spurs beat Pistons in 2005
* The Master vs Apprentice. Parker vs Hill; Duncan vs Hibbert.

Stern tossing and turning, not being able to sleep because he's thinking about low ratings :lol

sad thing is Lebron and Wade might now come in as underdogs if Pacers make them bleed till a tough game 6 or game 7.

would not really work in our favor

Great story lines. I remember I was pissed when we traded George Hill. Also wanted Hibbert to sign with us last summer.

TV networks don't pay billions for sports license rights to tell interesting stories or as a benefit to the public, they do it to grab lots and lots of eyeballs. The LeBron Show will bring them those eyeballs. It's just that simple for them.

Fortunately, we don't have to give a crap what the TV networks want and can cheer for them to be completely screwed. :lol
